    摘要: An oil renewal system for an engine is disclosed. The oil renewal system may have a removal device configured to selectively remove oil from the engine, and a condition sensor situated to generate a condition signal indicative of an oil condition. The oil renewal system may also have a controller in communication with the condition sensor and the removal device. The controller may be configured to determine a deterioration rate of the oil based on the condition signal, and adjust a removal rate of the oil from the engine based on the deterioration rate.

    摘要: An oil level monitoring and replenishment system for use with an internal combustion engine having an oil sump. The system as a sensor which continuously measures the sump level in the reservoir for holding a quantity of oil to be used in replenishment of the sump. A sensor monitors the oil level in the sump and causes replenishment from the reservoir when needed. The reservoir has warning circuit interactive with a reservoir sensor to signal from the reservoir has reached a lower level of oil and requires the filling. The sensor also provides means to signal when the reservoir has been filled to the desired level to prevent overfilling.

    摘要: A liquid quantity visual confirmation device comprises a first reservoir-forming member, and a second reservoir-forming member forming a liquid reservoir in combination with the first reservoir-forming member. The second reservoir-forming member is at least partially transparent to allow visual confirmation of the internal liquid level from an outside thereof. The second reservoir-forming member has a liquid-feeding port for feeding the liquid into the liquid reservoir. The quantity of liquid in the liquid reservoir can be confirmed by looking at the internal liquid level in the second reservoir-forming member from the outside. It is also possible to reliably feed the liquid into the liquid reservoir from the liquid-feeding port while confirming any rising of the liquid level through the transparent portion.

    摘要: A modular oil delivery system has a mount with at least one passage, a flange and a body depending from the flange. A mounting bracket is carried by the mount to support an oil pump having an oil outlet in fluid communication with at least one passage in the mount. A float arm is pivotally supported relative to the mounting bracket and is constructed and arranged to be responsive to the level of the oil in the reservoir. An oil pressure sensor is supported by either the mounting bracket, the body, or the flange. The oil pressure sensor is in fluid communication with at least one passage in the mount and with the oil outlet of the oil pump to monitor the pressure of oil discharged from the oil pump.

A clip is provided having a first end section held to a resinous part fixed to an engine main body, and a second end section held to the oil level gauge guide. The oil level gauge is provided with two linear stoppers contactable with the second end section of the clip, and an O-ring fixed on an end section of the oil level gauge guide. The end section of the oil level gauge guide is inserted into the communication hole in a first direction, while the first end section of the clip is pressed to the resinous part in a second direction. The first and second directions are parallel with each other.

    摘要: A sensor system is provided configured to communicate data to a processing module of a vehicle, the processing module configured to perform computational analysis based on the data received from the sensor system, the sensor system including a means for determining a condition of an ignition switch for cranking an engine of the vehicle and a means for determining a running condition of the engine. Computational analysis of the received operational parameter data may be used to detect a catastrophic lubricant loss. Other computational analysis associated with the vehicle may be performed based on the operational parameter data. A method is provided for determining a condition of at least one operational parameter associated with an internal combustion engine of a vehicle and performing computational analysis associated with the vehicle based on the condition of the at least one operational parameter. The method may include determining whether a quantity of lubricant in a sump of the engine is below a threshold value, determining whether an ignition switch of the vehicle is in an on-position or an off-position, determining whether the engine of the vehicle is in a running condition or a not running condition, and flagging a catastrophic lubricant loss if the quantity of lubricant is below the threshold value and the ignition switch is in the on-position and the engine is in the running condition.

    摘要: A device for sensing oil condition includes an oil condition sensor that includes a first sensing plate separated from a second sensing plate by a spacer. Affixed to the first sensing plate and the second sensing plate is a platinum sensing electrode and a resistance temperature device. The sensing electrodes are separated by a gap that is filled with engine oil when the sensor is installed in an oil pan. A processor connected to the sensor can be used to determine when the engine is experiencing a first stage of oil degradation, a second stage of oil degradation, and a third stage of oil degradation. Each stage of degradation is characterized by a first sensor output signal trend, a second sensor output signal trend, and a third output signal trend, respectively.
