摘要: The thermostat installing structure is provided, according to which a thermostat can be installed stably in the circulation path of cooling medium, and the circulation path of cooling medium can be also fastened to the body of an internal combustion engine without causing any damage to the function of the thermostat. The thermostat (5) comprises a frame (12) formed integrally with an annular supporting substrate (6) having the inner circumferential edge portion serving as a valve seat (6a) and regulating a projecting head portion (7a) of an extendable rod (7), whereby the thermostat is installed between the circulation path of cooling medium and the cooling medium channel of the internal combustion engine in a manner that the circulation path of cooling medium and the internal combustion engine body are integrally fastened by fixing the thermostat at a predetermined position in the circulation path of cooling medium with the fixing means and thereafter fitting a gasket.

摘要: A production method of a water jacket spacer for use in a cylinder block with a water jacket formed around plural cylinder bores. The method comprises the fist step of integrally forming a tubular spacer body with a peripheral wall and a connecting bridge by way of synthetic resin molding so that corresponding regions of the peripheral wall are connected to each other via the connecting bridge, and the second step of cooling the tubular spacer body, with the connecting bridge fixed thereto, to prevent deformation of the tubular spacer body during the cooling process, and the third step of removing the connecting bridge from the tubular spacer body.

摘要: An oil level gauge guide structure including an oil level gauge for measuring engine oil of a vehicle. An oil level gauge is held in an oil level gauge guide. A clip is provided having a first end section held to a resinous part fixed to an engine main body, and a second end section held to the oil level gauge guide. The oil level gauge is provided with two linear stoppers contactable with the second end section of the clip, and an O-ring fixed on an end section of the oil level gauge guide. The end section of the oil level gauge guide is inserted into the communication hole in a first direction, while the first end section of the clip is pressed to the resinous part in a second direction. The first and second directions are parallel with each other.

摘要: The thermostat installing structure is provided, according to which a thermostat can be installed stably in the circulation path of cooling medium, and the circulation path of cooling medium can be also fastened to the body of an internal combustion engine without causing any damage to the function of the thermostat.
