    摘要: A lubricant charging device for use with internal combustion engines. The device includes an adaptor for being interposed between a filter mounting plate on an engine and a spin-on type oil filter. The adaptor has first and second faces for matably engaging the filter mounting plate and oil filter, respectively. An auxiliary pump is provided, along with tubing for communicating lubricant between the sump of the engine, to the auxiliary pump, and from the auxiliary pump to the adaptor. The pump may be electrically driven so that it may be energized before the engine is started. Thus, a quantity of pressurized oil may be introduced into the working areas of the engine before starting the engine. A backflow plate and a check valve are provided to restrict the lubricant flow during prestart lubricant charging and during engine operation to ensure that the lubricant flows through the oil filter before its introduction to the working parts of the engine.

The method may comprise measuring a first pressure at a first position in a fluid line containing pressurized fluid; comparing the first pressure to a first threshold; in response to the first pressure exceeding the first threshold, transmitting a signal to depressurize the fluid line; after transmitting the signal to depressurize the fluid line, measuring a second pressure in the fluid line and comparing the second pressure to at least one of a second threshold and a third threshold, the second threshold being greater than the third threshold and less than the first threshold; and in response to the second pressure being less than the second threshold and exceeding the third threshold, transmitting another signal to depressurize the fluid line.

    摘要: A power supply system for a machine, to control a supply of electric current, is disclosed herein. The machine includes an engine, which operates in an active mode and an inactive mode. The engine is operably connected to an alternator, a pre-lube pump, and a battery unit. The power supply system includes a circuit breaker system. The circuit breaker system includes a common circuit breaker electrically connected between the battery unit and each of the alternator and the pre-lube pump. The circuit breaker system communicates the supply of electric current between the alternator and the battery unit, through the common circuit breaker corresponding to the active mode of operation of the engine. The circuit breaker system communicates the supply of electric current between battery unit and the pre-lube pump, through the common circuit breaker corresponding to the inactive mode of operation of the engine.

The distribution rod has various ports for discharging the oil over the engine parts which need lubrication prior to engine start-up. The nozzles may provide precise and uniform discharge patterns. The system may include a controller for receiving the pre-start notification and for controlling the valves and air supply unit.
