    摘要： There is provided a clamping member for attaching one part of a two part coupling device to a conduit, such as a hose, said clamping member comprising a body section having a bore running therethrough and comprising a first end portion, an intermediate portion and a second end portion, said first end portion being adapted to be connected to one part of the two part hose coupling device. The clamping member further includes at least a pair of spaced apart clamping rods each of which is pivotally connected to the body section of the clamping member, each of said clamping rods including a clamp section connected at one end of said rod, and an annular ring disposed about said body section in contact with said clamping rods, so that when a hose is inserted in the second end portion of the body section, the annular ring member can be positioned so as to bear against the connecting rods and force the connecting rods to be pivoted downwardly so that the clamp section thereof will be forced against the hose and thereby hold the hose in said body section.

    摘要： An adjustable coupling device is provided which can be secured to each of two sections of conduit, such as two hoses or pipes, by hand, without the need for employing tools. The coupling device comprises a socket member and a plug member which are adapted to be adjustably positioned with respect to each other as one or both members wear, said plug member being adapted to be removably and adjustably disposed in said socket member. The above plug member includes interior walls which define a bore, and securing means, such as teeth or recessed portions. The socket member comprises a body portion having a bore running therethrough defined by the interior walls thereof, which bore is adapted to receive said plug member in a manner such that the bore of said plug member is in communication with the bore of said socket member, and at least one connecting member attached to said socket member and adapted to engage said securing means of said plug member.

    摘要： A hose coupler wherein the end of a hose member is slit longitudinally in a plurality of locations in order to permit it to be flared over a frusto-conical surface of a male coupling member. The latter is also provided with a roughened exterior surface in order to help prevent the slit end of the hose member from slipping off the frusto-conical surface. The male coupler member is provided with a substantially cylindrical surface region wherein a watertight seal is effected between the flexible hose member and the coupler. A female coupling member is provided with a frusto-conical inner surface so that it may be placed in telescoping relationship with respect to the slit end flexible hose and pulled toward the frusto-conical external surface on the male coupling member to establish a wedge fit therewith. In this manner it is possible to effect a watertight seal at one point and pull the assembly at another point whereby a leak does not develop if the end pull causes physical damage to the inner tube portion of the hose in the area of the hose where pull is effected.
