    Abstract: A lighting arrangement and lamp assembly particularly suitable for producing illumination with a minimum of the infrared range of wavelengths and especially suited for use in environmental growth chambers. The lamp assembly disclosed includes a tungsteniodide lamp positioned in a first housing member formed from a material which is transparent to light of a substantial range of wavelengths including infrared. A second housing member formed from a light-transmissive material is positioned about the first housing member in spaced relationship thereto. Means are provided to seal between the first and second housing members to provide a closed chamber through which illumination produced by the lamp must pass in order to escape from the assembly. Fan means function to pass cooling air through the first housing member and about the lamp positioned therein; and, means are provided for circulating water through the sealed chamber between the first and second housing members so that all the light passing from the assembly is filtered through the circulating water.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a luminaire chilled beam that can incorporate lighting into a chilled beam unit without affecting the capacity, performance, or dimensions of the chilled beam. The luminaire chilled beam can include a pressure chamber configured to receive primary air through a primary air inlet. A nozzle plate in a lower portion of the pressure chamber can allow the primary air to be expelled from the pressure chamber and thereby cause an induction of air from an external setting through an induction face and into an induction chamber. A water coil can be configured to treat the induced air within the induction chamber. The induced air and the primary air can be expelled from the induction chamber and into the setting through discharge channels. The luminaire chilled beam can further include a luminaire assembly including a luminaire positioned between the induction face and the discharge channel at the lower portion of the induction chamber, the luminaire configured to illuminate the external setting.

    Abstract: An air conditioner includes a housing including an illumination opening at a position viewable by a user; a blower provided in an airflow path connecting an inlet and outlet; a light emitter provided in the housing viewable through the illumination opening and including a light incident portion to receive light emitted from a first light source and a first light emission portion to emit first light generated from the light and including light simulating natural light; and at least one light extractor emitting second light that is part of the light received by the light emitter that reaches an edge portion of the light emitter without being emitted as the first light or second light received from the first light source or a second light source different from the first light source without intervention of the light emitter. The at least one light extractor is provided in the airflow path.
