摘要: A multiple pressure boiler is disclosed having a plurality of boiler sections, each section operating at a successively lower temperature and lower pressure than the preceding section. The intake air for the firebox is heated by the flue gases, then superheated by the steam, to provide heated air for combustion, and the steam from the highest pressure section is superheated by the flue gases prior to its being used in a steam turbine or other steam engine. The fuel for the firebox is heated initially by being used as the coolant for a steam condenser, and is superheated by superheated steam from the heat exchanger. It is contemplated that a sufficient quantity of heat will be removed from the flue gases that the solids will precipitate out, and the gas will be substantially at ambient temperature. If heat must be discarded from the system, a water jacket is used in conjunction with a second condenser, the water jacket being cooled by a pond, water being fed from the bottom of a well in the pond, through the cooling jacket and to a sprinkler in the pond. The system is therefore an energy efficient system that will return clean, low temperature gas to the atmosphere.

摘要: To provide a power generation system that recovers heat from low-temperature exhaust gas of not more than 150° C. and utilizes the heat to increase an amount of generated electric power of a steam turbine, whereby efficiency in thermal use can be improved. A power generation system includes heat exchangers and configured to exchange heat of a heat medium and heat of water, and a vacuum flasher configured to supply steam to a vacuum stage of a steam turbine, wherein heat media are supplied to the heat exchangers and so as to generate a water fluid having a temperature exceeding a water boiling point under vacuum of a vacuum stage, the water fluid is supplied to the vacuum flasher to generate steam under vacuum of the vacuum stage, and the steam is introduced into the vacuum stage of the steam turbine, whereby an amount of generated electric power is increased.

摘要: Systems and methods relate to vaporizing water into steam, which may be utilized in applications such as bitumen production. Initial indirect vaporization of the water at a first pressure for treatment precedes a steam generator boiling the water at a second pressure higher than the first pressure. The indirect vaporization of the water occurs in a vessel upon contact of the water with a substance such as solid particulate heated to a temperature sufficient to vaporize the water. Impurities in the water deposit on the solid particulate and/or combust limiting pass through of the impurities to the steam generator given that a vapor output of the vessel from the initial indirect vaporization condenses and is pressurized before being supplied to the steam generator.

摘要: A natural circulation water tube package boiler is assembled in a factory in two self-contained steam generating units. The first unit has a combustion chamber, but no convection tubes. The second unit has convection tubes, but no combustion chamber. Each unit has a mud drum, a steam drum, and tubes connecting the drums. Each steam generating unit is transported separately by truck or railcar to the operating site, where the rear end of the first unit is connected to the front end of the second unit by a large connecting duct; the mud drums of the respective units are connected to each other by water piping; the steam drums of the respective units are connected to each other by water piping and steam piping located above and below the waterline respectively; and the steam drum of the second unit is connected to the water drum of the first unit by water piping. The two steam generating units operate in tandem, with combustion gases flowing through the full width of both units serially, and out the rear of the second unit.
