Abstract:
A color harmony scale used for color planning in any field comprises a color plate, a middle plate and a top plate, which are rotatably placed on top of each other. The middle plate and the top plate are provided with windows in accordance with the known color harmony principle. During rotation of the color harmony scale, colors which harmonize with each other can be seen through windows on the middle and the top plates.
Abstract:
The disclosure is related to a décor harmony service (DHS) that facilitates mapping of colors from a color palette to decor accessories in a setting, e.g., a room, such that the décor accessories, when arranged together, appear harmonious to a user. For example, using harmony-distribution rules, the DHS maps a set of décor accessories occupying “60%” of the area of a room to a main color of a color palette, a second set of décor accessories occupying “30%” to a feature color and a third set of décor accessories occupying “10%” to an accent color. The DHS generates a representation of the room, e.g., an image of the room, with the décor accessories having the assigned colors. The DHS facilitates a user to use the generated image for finding and purchasing décor products that match with a décor accessory in the generated image.
Abstract:
A color matching and color recommendation system. In one embodiment, the system may (i) receive a color input indicative of one or more colors, (ii) select at least one reference color from the one or more colors, (iii) associate the at least one reference color with at least one of a plurality of predefined color categories, and (iv) identify at least one related color based on the at least one of the plurality of predefined color categories. In another embodiment, the system may (i) receive a color input indicative of one or more colors, (ii) select at least one reference color from the one or more colors, and (iii) compare the at least one reference color to a plurality of predetermined colors to identify one or more related colors having color data closest to the at least one reference color.
Abstract:
A method for selecting a color palette includes receiving a feature from an image of an object and a reference color chart, calculating a transform to correct a color in the imaged reference color chart, correcting a color in the feature using the transform, and selecting a color palette based on the corrected feature color. The reference color chart includes reference colors, and the transform corrects the color in the imaged reference color chart to substantially equal a corresponding reference color. An apparatus for selecting a color palette is also described.
Abstract:
A color sphere has a plurality of organized color cells. The color cells are gradually lighter from a bottom to a top. A first color cell is selected from the color sphere. Radial, horizontal peripheral, vertical peripheral directions are identified relative to the first color cell. The color cells of the sphere are organized so that they only match in the radial direction, horizontal peripheral direction and in the vertical peripheral direction. A second color cell is selected only when the second color cell is in selected direction.
