摘要: Methods and computer program products for generating a search query are provided. A method includes receiving a first string of characters inputted into a text input field of a graphical user interface, wherein the first string of characters represents a first portion of the search query. One or more query suggestions based on the first string of characters are displayed within the graphical user interface. The method further includes receiving a selected first query suggestion and displaying it in a first query segment within the text input field. A second string of characters inputted into the text input field of the graphical user interface may also be received. One or more second query suggestions based on the second string of characters may be displayed. A selected second query suggestion may be received from the one or more second query suggestions and then displayed in a second query segment.

摘要: A method, system and computer program product for building a data query engine. Initial taxonomies that describe and categorize data are built by expert users (e.g., data scientists) employing machine learning algorithms. The data is also indexed and stored in an index. Queries are then received from non-expert users to query the data based on data categorization from built taxonomies and the indexing. After the queries are executed using the machine learning algorithms in an environment (e.g., Hadoop®), the results of the queries are rated for relevance, precision and accuracy. The machine learning algorithms are also rated based on the number of successful queries. Those machine learning algorithms with a rating above a threshold are identified to be utilized to scan new data to be stored in the index to provide a new environment that replaces the initial environment.

摘要: The present invention discloses an input-based candidate word display method and apparatus. The method comprises: adopting an input pinyin character string to search for one or more candidate words; determining whether the candidate words are allographic synonyms; if so, configuring allographic synonym prompt information for the candidate words belonging to the allographic synonyms; and displaying the one or more candidate words and the allographic synonym prompt information. In the embodiments of the present invention, a user is prompted that the candidate words are allographic synonyms, thereby reducing a probability of incorrect input and improving input efficiency.

A thin-client server-controlled architecture enables users of resource-constrained mobile communications devices to locate targeted information more quickly by entering fewer keystrokes and performing fewer query iterations and web page refreshes, which in turn reduces required network bandwidth.

摘要: Embodiments are directed to a spellcheck module for an enterprise search engine. The spellcheck module includes a candidate suggestion generation module that generates a number of candidate words that may be the correction of the misspelled word. The candidate suggestion generation module implements an algorithm for indexing, searching, and storing terms from an index with a constrained edit distance, using words in a collection of documents. The spellcheck module further includes a candidate suggestion ranking module. In one embodiment, a non-contextual approach using a linear combination of distance and probability scores is utilized; while in another embodiment, a context sensitive approach accounting for real-word misspells and adopting deep learning models is utilized. In use, a query is provided to the spellcheck module to generate results in the form of a ranked list of generated candidate entries that may be an entry a user accidentally misspelled.
