摘要: A raw dataset including measures and dimensions is processed, by a preprocessing module, using an algorithm that produces a preprocessed dataset such that at least one type of statistical analysis of the preprocessed dataset yields equal results to the same type of statistical analysis of the raw dataset. The preprocessed dataset is then analyzed by a statistical analysis module to identify subsets of the preprocessed dataset that include a non-random structure or pattern. The analysis of the preprocessed dataset includes the at least one type of statistical analysis that produces the same results for both the preprocessed and raw datasets. The identified subsets are then ranked by a statistical ranker based on the analysis of the preprocessed dataset and a subset is selected for visualization based on the rankings. A visualization module then generates a visualization of the selected identified subset that highlights a non-random structure of the selected subset.

The system may comprise one or more processors and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the system to search, in one or more data sources, with a plurality of known characteristics of an entity to obtain a first plurality of records, identify from the first plurality of records a subset of records that match the known characteristics with a substantial confidence, compile the subset of records to form a unified record representing the entity and conduct a second search with information from the unified record to obtain a second plurality of search results.

Any method of collecting these inputs should be able to handle one or multiple capacities, and one or multiple needs.

摘要: Identifying data within a data store satisfying a request. A quantity of the identified data is greater than a threshold. The identified data is analyzed to produce an initial result set with a reduced data quantity including information summarizing the identified data. The analyzing includes visualizing the information summarizing the identified data as one or more graphical displays rendered within a user interface and selectively filtering the identified data based upon a selection of filter factors associated with the identified data to generate an initial result set having a smaller size in relation to the identified data set. Each of one or more succeeding result sets are generated from a corresponding prior result set until a succeeding result set includes a quantity of data satisfying the threshold. The generating of each succeeding result set includes filtering the corresponding prior result set and information summarizing the filtered result set.

摘要: A building management system and method that determines space utilization in a building. The building management system comprises room utilization sensors, such as occupancy sensors, a gateway that gathers raw occupancy data records from the occupancy sensors, and at least one processor. Each raw occupancy data record comprises an occupancy state associated with a timestamp. The processor is configured for normalizing the raw occupancy data records into normalized occupancy data records each comprising a time segment and an occupancy state indicating whether for a given time segment a room is occupied. The processor is further configured for structuring the normalized occupancy data records by associating each normalized occupancy data record with a space node corresponding to a room in the building from where the raw occupancy data record was collected and associating each space node with a set of tags, each tag defining a single state from a plurality of states. The processor may further receive a selection of a tag from a user interface, split the normalized occupancy data records along the selected tag's states into sets of normalized occupancy data records, for each split set of occupancy data records, calculate at least one occupancy rate, and display a visualization of space utilization of the building comprising a comparison of the occupancy rates of the selected tag's states.

摘要: Systems and methods allow a user of a text or graphics editor to quickly create multiple robust internet search queries by selecting and ranking groups or individual key words from a document. A user who is composing or reading a document can identify and link multiple sets of key words into separate search queries by highlighting and assigning either unique search numbers, colors or other readily ascertained indicators of their logical relation. Each individual search query is routed to selected internet search engines, and the results are returned to the user in the same viewed document. The user may select the form in which the results are displayed. For example, results may be listed within the document by way footnotes, endnotes, or separate hover or pull-down windows accessible from the search terms. In addition, the user can browse, sort, rank, edit or eliminate portions of the results.
