Abstract:
A magnet roll comprising a shaft having a polygonal cross section and a plurality of magnet blocks bonded to the shaft and to each other. At least one of the magnet blocks has mating means contacted with the corresponding mating means of the shaft, and an adjacent pair of the magnet blocks are bonded to each other in a positional relationship determined by mating means provided on the contacting surfaces of the adjacent blocks and by contact with the shaft surface. This magnet roll can be assembled very precisely without difficulty.
Abstract:
A magnetic holding drum particularly suitable for optical reproduction devices such as facsimile transmitters, which enables the copy to be held substantially flat over the surface of the drum while the drum is either rotated or optically scanned. The drum includes a plurality of spaced-apart, radially disposed elongated magnets on its cylindrical surface. A sliding holder which is slidably retained in grooves at each end of the drum is magnetically affixed at any desired position on the surface of the drum in order to maintain the copy flattened against the drum''s surface.

THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO AN ELECTROSTATIC POWDER IMAGE PRINTING SYSTEM, MORE PARTICULARLY, TO A MAGNETIC CYLINDER FOR UNIFORMLY DISPENSING TONER POWDER IN A POWDER IMAGE FIXING DEVICE.
Abstract:
An apparatus for assembling a repelling magnet combination, comprising a first and second magnet, a first and second holding magnet, a first holding base with a first holding base first end, and a second holding base with a second holding base first end. The first and second holding magnets are positioned at the first and second holding base first ends, and the first and second magnets are magnetically attached to the first and second holding magnets respectively, with outward faces exhibiting like magnetic polarities. The first and second magnets are brought into contact by moving the first and second holding base first ends into close proximity, whereby the first and second holding magnets exert holding forces on the first and second magnets which overcome a repelling force generated therebetween, allowing a repelling force countering means, such as an adhesive, to bond the magnets together into a repelling magnet combination.
Abstract:
A mechanism for fixing together first and second parts and comprising first and second guides provided respectively in or attached to the first and second parts. The mechanism further comprises first and second magnetic components coupled respectively to the first and second guides such that the first magnetic component is rotatable with the first guide and the first part, and the second magnetic component cannot rotate relative to the second guide, the magnetic components being moveable axially and rotationally with respect to each other and having magnetic poles oriented such that rotation of said first magnetic component causes relative axial movement of the magnetic components between a locking position in which one of the magnetic components straddles the two guides and an unlocking position in which it does not straddle the two guides.

Abstract:
In a radially anisotropic sintered magnet of annular shape, the remanence in a radial direction of the annulus increases and decreases at intervals of 90° in a circumferential direction of the annulus, and the remanence in a radial direction over the entire circumference of the annulus has a maximum of 0.95-1.60 T and a minimum equal to 50-95% of the maximum. In a permanent magnet motor comprising a plurality of stator teeth, the radially anisotropic annular sintered magnet is incorporated after it is magnetized in 4n poles (wherein n is an integer of 1 to 20) so that the boundary between N and S poles is located within the range that is centered at the radial direction where the remanence exhibits the minimum and extends ±10° therefrom in a circumferential direction. The radially anisotropic annular sintered magnet undergoes neither fracture nor cracking during the sintering and aging/cooling steps even when it is shaped to a low inner/outer diameter ratio and has satisfactory magnetic properties. A permanent magnet motor comprising the radially anisotropic annular sintered magnet is inexpensive and of high performance.
Abstract:
A radial anisotropic sintered magnet formed into a cylindrical shape includes a portion oriented in directions tilted at an angle of 30° or more from radial directions, the portion being contained in the magnet at a volume ratio in a range of 2% or more and 50% or less, and a portion oriented in radial directions or in directions tilted at an angle less than 30° from radial directions, the portion being the rest of the total volume of the magnet. The radial anisotropic sintered magnet has excellent magnet characteristics without occurrence of cracks in the steps of sintering and cooling for aging, even if the magnet has a shape of a small ratio between an inner diameter and an outer diameter.
