    Abstract: A vent valve assembly includes a first housing component, a second housing component, and a third housing component, as well as a first valve and a second valve. The first, second, and third housing components are configured to assemble together along one directional axis with the second housing component, the first valve and the second valve between the first and third housing components and with the second valve laterally-spaced from the first valve. The assembled first, second, and third housing components define a nonlinear vapor flow path that redirects vapor from the first valve to the second valve, thereby reducing an overall height of the vent valve assembly.

The support body and the casing of the fuel cutoff valve are made of first and second resin materials having different rates of fuel swelling. The fuel cutoff valve is fastened to the support body via a fastening mechanism. The fastening mechanism entails engaging a first support engaging portion and a second support engaging portion of the support body in first and second fastening engaging portions composed of hooks formed on the casing of the fuel cutoff valve, at first and second hook engagement levels that represent the bite of the hooks. The engaging portions are designed such that prior to fuel swelling of the support body and the base cover first hook engagement exceeds second hook engagement, whereas subsequent to fuel swelling second hook engagement exceeds first hook engagement.

    Abstract: A valve body and a float body are combined by respectively coupling two or more coupling parts provided on one of the valve body and the float body to coupled parts provided on the other of the valve body and the flat body in a state allowing upward and downward movements of the valve body. During descent of the float body, one coupling part of the two or more coupling parts is caught on the coupled parts ahead of the other coupling parts whereby the valve body is tilted, and the other coupling parts restrict the tilting of the valve body.

    Abstract: A valve device for a fuel tank includes a float element accommodated vertically movably in a case. The float element has a seal member at an upper portion thereof. The fuel flowing into the case through the inflow portion rises the float element to seat the seal member on the vent valve port. A ventilation portion connecting between inside of the tank and inside of the case is formed at an upper face portion of the case positioned above a waterline of the float element when seated. The upper face portion of the float element positioned in close proximity to the upper face portion reduces the amount of ventilation through the ventilation portion when seated. The valve device for a fuel tank further includes a regulation portion at the upper face portion of the case in which the interval is constant between the upper face portion of the case and the upper face portion of the float element when seated.

    Abstract: The invention concerns a dual float rollover valve for use in a vehicle fuel tank assembly. The rollover valve may include a housing having an upper portion with a top end defining a vapor passage and an opposed bottom end, and an outer wall extending between the top and bottom ends and defining a channel extending therethrough; and a lower portion having a first end engaging with the bottom end of the upper portion, an opposed second end including a vent hole therethrough, and an outer wall extending between the first end and the second end and defining a chamber therein. An inner seal may be mounted between the channel and the chamber and include a seal bore extending from the channel to the chamber, with an upper float mounted in the channel, and a lower float, mounted in the chamber, having a buoyancy relative to fuel such that it is adapted to float on the fuel and selectively seal against the seal bore.

    Abstract: A gas fuel tank with an internal emission fuel system includes a fill-and-vent valve system inside the fuel tank that controls fuel vapor through an exterior carbon canister and prevents spit back. This inventive system prevents exposure of the carbon canister to liquid or fuel.
