    摘要: Boat bailing apparatus for removing water from the interior of a boat comprising: a tubular housing adapted for attachment to the transom of the boat providing a passage through which fluid may pass from the interior of the boat to the exterior thereof; an annular seat near one end of the housing; and a ball closure carried within the housing for movement between a position engaging the seat, preventing fluid flow through the passage, and positions not engaging the seat, permitting fluid flow. A cage assembly may be provided within the housing to confine the ball closure for limited axial movement in the housing passage.

    摘要: The toilet system includes an evaporator tank having an inlet and an outlet that is at the top portion of the tank, a first electrical heater mounted on the tank, macerator/transfer pump means connected to the inlet of the tank to transfer flushed waste from a toilet to that tank, a vapor treatment system including a vessel having an inlet and a vent outlet and containing a bed of catalyst, first conduit means connected to the outlet of the tank and to the inlet of the vessel to transfer vapor from the tank to the vessel, a second electrical heater mounted on the conduit means to heat vapor passing from the tank to the vessel of the vapor treatment system, and second conduit means connected to the first conduit means between the mounting of the second heater and the evaporator tank to introduce pressure air into the vapor from the tank before the heating of the vapor. The toilet system further includes means mounted in one of said first and second conduit means and responsive to a condition indicative of inadequate pressure of air in said second conduit means to prevent continued operation of the second heater. The toilet system has low-level sensing means mounted in the evaporator tank that is operative, when the level of liquid waste in that tank is below a predetermined low level, to prevent the operation of the first heater. Also mounted in the evaporator tank is high-level sensing means that is operative, when the level of liquid waste in the tank has raised to a predetermined higher level to prevent the operation of the macerator/transfer pump means until the level of liquid in the tank is lowered by evaporation of water from the liquid waste in the tank or the discharge of liquid waste from the tank.

    摘要: An improved bilge water level monitor, alert and control system for boats and other vessels. The system provides a method of detecting excessive leakage of water into the bilge and in response to the excessive water in the bilge, triggering an alarm to notify the operator and others and energizes bilge pumps to remove the excessive water. The system is designed with many redundancies in the sub elements and subsystems for safety. The system provides a means for reducing the likelihood of exhausting battery power in the event of a significant seawater leakage problem. The electrical power rating of the monitoring circuitry components is relatively low, thereby reducing the size and weight of those components relative to prior bilge pump monitoring and alert systems. There is no electrical wiring exposed to bilge water during system operation thereby reducing damage to the wiring components. The water level detection and control circuitry operates with sufficiently low amperage to substantially eliminate the hazard of spark-induced combustion.

The waste water from the first tank is continuously fed to a three stage bioreactor, in which aerobic waste water treatment takes place in a second tank, waste water is fed in batches from a second tank to a third sealed tank, in which denitrification and sedimentation of the solids takes place. Water from the third tank is fed into a fourth tank acting as a settling tank with the largest part of the sludge being recirculated in batches from the third tank into the first tank and, after disinfection, the water from the fourth tank is subjected to fine filtration.

    摘要: A boat has a seacock operatively attached to the hull and movable between open and closed positions. The seacock is operatively connected to a discharge pump, which in turn is connected to a sewage holding tank. An electrical switch is actuated in response to the position of the seacock, and control circuitry is connected to the seacock electrical switch and the discharge pump to prevent operation of the pump if the seacock is closed (or in any position aside from fully open). An indicator, such as one or more light emitting diodes, is also actuated in response to the seacock electrical switch position, and another indicator, such as one or more light emitting diodes, is connected to the discharge pump and indicates when that pump is operating. The electrical switch is waterproof and meets marine vessel ignition prevention and electromagnetic compatibility requirements, and typically is actuated in response to the position of a manually actuable (e.g. rotatable) handle of the seacock.
