Abstract: Heat treatment system and methods to decontaminate ballast fluid includes ballast tank(s) each having a temperature sensor. A heat source transfers heat to ballast fluid when circulated therethrough. Diverter valves provide selective direction of fluid flow to either the onboard heat source or external auxiliary heat source when connected. A pump moves ballast fluid between the ballast tank(s) and the heat source, recirculating ballast fluid for iterative heating. The temperature sensor provides ballast fluid temperature information in the ballast tank(s). Recirculation is stopped when ballast fluid meets predetermined ballast temperature conditions. A display provides decontamination status to an operator. A control unit monitors all sensors, valves and pumps to coordinate the performance of the heat treatment process and provide history report confirming decontamination.

Abstract: A bilge pump system for removing residual fluid from a vessel surface, includes at least one collection unit having a collection base with a collection inlet and a collection outlet, and a pump having a pump inlet flow-connected by at least one tube to the collection outlet. A discharge tube is flow-connected to the pump outlet, wherein the collection inlet comprises at least one opening on a bottom face of the collection base arranged to be on the vessel surface. A sponge is arranged within the opening of the collection base and in liquid communication with the vessel surface. The sponge can be fitted into place by lips or lugs protruding from the collection base.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for reducing greenhouse gas emission in a vessel and a vessel including the same, in which an absorbent liquid recycling unit is provided in two or more stages so that an unreacted aqueous ammonium salt solution remaining in ammonia water is removed to maintain a concentration of ammonia water at a certain level, thereby increasing a recovery rate of an absorbent liquid and preventing a deterioration in greenhouse gas absorption performance. Or in which exhaust gas is cooled by a heat exchange method, thereby preventing a decrease in a concentration of an absorbent liquid, and an absorbent liquid recycling unit is provided in two or more stages so that an unreacted aqueous ammonium salt solution remaining in ammonia water is removed, thereby increasing a recovery rate of the absorbent liquid and preventing a deterioration in greenhouse gas absorption performance.

Abstract: A distributor tray (100) for a column for contact between a gas (G) and a liquid (L) is provided wherein the distributor tray has a plurality of compartments defined on one face of the tray by secant partitions (104) which are perforated (105) to allow the flow of liquid between adjacent compartments. Each compartment includes at least one passage of the liquid through the tray or a chimney (102) projecting from the tray for the exclusive passage of the gas (G) through the tray. The shape of the chimney is identical to the shape of the compartment containing it, and the chimney has an internal volume at least equal to the volume of the compartment containing it.

Abstract: A marine vessel may be configured with a water pump and seawater treatment equipment for use in providing a marine vessel water pumping platform for pumping water into a subsea reservoir to help maintain or increase pressure to assist with producing oil and/or natural gas. The marine vessel water pumping platform allows for the pump and seawater treatment equipment to be continuously used for pumping operations as the marine vessel may be moved between subsea reservoir sites, which helps reduce maintenance costs. The water pump may be lower in minimal flow capacity than water pumps on platforms, thereby allowing for more diversity in supporting different oil and/or gas pumping in offshore drilling operations.

Abstract: A marine water treatment dock box system is provided. The marine water treatment dock box system securely houses a water softener, a deionizer, a high-pressure washer and a selective control system for diverting water for cleaning a docked vessel, for onboard use by the vessel, and/or for high-quality potable water production.
