摘要： An automatic wrapping apparatus of cylindrical articles, particularly plastic bobbins. The apparatus includes feed rollers for feeding two wrapping sheets therebetween in opposed manner to form a bottom portion for a wrapping bag. A loading device is provided for loading bobbins onto the bottom portion by holding each unit of regularly arranged bobbins and dropping it in an orderly state. A support member is provided for supporting the bobbins unit by unit from underneath and causing the bobbin unit whenever dropped to descend by the bobin height, thus stacking bobbin units one upon another. A basket-like retainer is provided for receiving the bobbin units descending with stacking to retain them in the place so as to keep the orderly state. A heat sealer is provided for uniting the bottom portion and a top margin of the wrapping bag. A side heat sealer is provided for uniting both sides of the bag. A method of packaging the bobbins includes the steps of feeding two wrapping sheets to form by heat sealing a bottom portion of a wrapping bag. Each unit of bobins regularly arranged in a holder is then loaded onto the bottom portion by dropping from the holder, simultaneously causing each dropped bobbin unit to descend by the bobbin height while supporting bobbins from below and retaining from the perimeter, and stacking bobbin units one upon another in the sheets. Thereafter, the top and both side margins of the bag are heat sealed.

摘要： A high speed apparatus for cutting and wrapping soft chewing gum comprises a plurality of substantially parallel cutters having cutting heads to cut the gum into relatively thin rectangular-shaped pieces. The cutters are moved to a position where each individually shaped piece of gum is placed into a nest on a wrapping tray with a wrapper located therebetween. The cutters are moved in an eccentric ovoid path by a ring wheel and grooved cam wheel arrangement which causes the cutting heads to separate and move back together as they move through a cycle. During placement of the stick of gum in the nest, a flat side of the shaped piece of gum is urged against the flat bottom of the nest. The apparatus further comprises an apparatus to complete wrapping the wrapper around the piece of gum.

The cover forming apparatus includes a cover former having an object opening formed through a portion thereof which is adapted to receive the object. The cover former includes portions forming resilient contactors which are adapted to resiliently engage portions of the sheet of material for pressing the engaged portions of the sheet of material against the object when the sheet of material and the object are passed through the object opening. 摘要： An improved machine for wrapping continuously moving articles with heat-shrinkable material comprising a series of at least three horizontally aligned coplanar longitudinally spaced conveyors provided with a monodirectional continuous movement and with the adjacent sections of the two conveyors furthest downstream wound on at least a corresponding pair of return rollers supported by a support carriage which may be moved in an alternate manner parallel to the conveyor direction, means for supplying sheets of wrapping material and a pair of winding bar means caused by conveyor means to move continuously around the article being supplied on the intermediate conveyor such that during each rotation, while one of the bars takes a sheet of wrapping material and brings it across the path of a following continuously moving article so as to wind this material about three faces of this article, the other bar winds the material about the fourth face of the preceding article and, by means of the two adjacent conveyors furthest downstream, superimposes the final flap on the flap which has already been folded over the lower face of the said preceding article.

摘要： A high speed, automatic machine for wrapping elongate semi-rigid products such as spaghetti. The machine includes means for cutting and positioning two sheets of wrapping material during a single portion period of the machine into two tandem buckets mounted on a conveyor. The machine also includes two high speed product weighers that deposit weighted amounts of the product onto the two sheets in the two buckets. The weighers operate in duplex and each fills a bucket during a single period of pause in the motion of the machine. After filling each bucket the wrapping machine has means for folding the leading and trailing margins of the two sheets of wrapping material. The two sheets are folded during a single motion period of the machine. The two folded sheets are then simultaneously heated sealed by two, tandem wrapper sealers. Each wrapper sealer makes a complete longitudinal seal for each package during one period of pause in the motion of the machine. The wrapping machine next provides means for folding and heat sealing each open end of the two packages. The folding and sealing of the two packages is performed simultaneously by two tandem, duplex operated, finger and wrapper sealer assemblies.

摘要： An annular object is disposed between upper and lower thermally fusible thermoplastic foils which are pushed together and cut away in an annular weld seam by a pair of tool halves brought vertically together in the central opening of the object. The lower tool half fits between a pair of spaced-apart transport bands which serve to carry the packaged object away after its center is cut out. The object can be supported above the bands on a fork so that the two tool halves can be brought together at a plane in the middle of the thickness of the object. If the object rests on the bands, the upper foil is deformed downwardly to the level of the undeflected bottom foil so that the lower foil is not deformed and ripped.
