    Abstract: A variable camshaft timing (VCT) system includes an independent camshaft phaser, receiving input from a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, having an output coupled to one of an inner concentric camshaft or an outer concentric camshaft; and a dependent camshaft phaser, coupled to the other of the inner concentric camshaft or the outer concentric camshaft, comprising a half-Oldham link configured to permit radial movement of the inner concentric camshaft relative to the outer concentric camshaft in one radial direction and at least one pivotable arm configured to permit radial movement of the inner concentric camshaft relative to the outer concentric camshaft in another, different radial direction.

    Abstract: A continuously variable valve duration apparatus includes a camshaft, a cam unit on which a cam is formed, a guide bracket including an upper guide boss, an internal wheel configured to transmit rotation of the camshaft to the cam unit, a wheel housing in which the internal wheel is rotatably inserted, wherein a guide thread is formed in a portion of the wheel housing, and of which a guide shaft is formed to be movably inserted into the upper guide boss, a worm wheel to which an internal thread engaging with the guide thread is formed in the worm wheel, and to which an external thread is formed thereon, a control shaft on which a control worm engaged with the external thread is formed, and an upper bushing mounted on a lower portion of the upper guide boss to support the guide shaft.

    Abstract: A sleeve includes: a supply port communicated with a hydraulic oil supply source; a primary control port communicated with a retard chamber, a secondary control port communicated with an advance chamber; and a drain port communicated with an outside of a valve timing adjustment device. A spool includes: a pressure accumulation space formed at an inside of the spool; a supply passage configured to connect between the pressure accumulation space and the supply port; a primary control passage configured to connect between the pressure accumulation space and the primary control port; a secondary control passage configured to connect between the pressure accumulation space and the secondary control port; and a recycle passage configured to connect between the primary control port or the secondary control port and the pressure accumulation space. The recycle passage and the drain port are connected with each other at the inside of the sleeve.

    Abstract: A variable valve timing control device includes a valve unit including a spool having a plurality of land portions at an outer circumference of the spool, and being formed with a drain flow path inside the spool. The valve unit allows a second pump port and a lock port to communicate with each other in a case where the spool is set at an unlock position where a lock state of a lock mechanism is released, and the valve unit closes the second pump port with the land portion of the spool and allows the lock port to communicate with the drain flow path in a case where the spool is set at a lock position where the lock mechanism is allowed to be shifted in the lock state.

    Abstract: A hydraulic control valve allows increased flexibility of port layout without requiring high dimensional accuracy. The hydraulic control valve includes a cylindrical valve body having, at a cylindrical shaft portion, retard and advance ports and reintroduction ports, and a spool valve provided slidably in an axial direction in the valve body and permitting switching between supply/discharge of working fluid to/from retard and advance hydraulic chambers through land portions. The control valve further includes a cylindrical sleeve formed with synthetic resin material and fixed to an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical shaft portion, and an actuator that moves the spool valve in an axial direction. The sleeve has, at a peripheral wall thereof, retard and advance oil passage holes communicating with retard and advance ports, and has, on an inner peripheral surface thereof, communication grooves communicating with the reintroduction ports.
