摘要: A method for controlling intake and exhaust valves of an engine includes: Controlling opening and closing timings of the intake and exhaust valves by an intake continuous variable valve timing (CVVT) device and an exhaust CVVT devices; determining, by a controller, target intake and exhaust opening durations of the intake and exhaust valves, and target opening and closing timings of the valves based on an engine load and an engine speed; modifying current intake and exhaust opening durations based on the target opening durations via an intake continuous variable valve duration (CVVD) device and an exhaust CVVD device; adjusting opening or closing timings of the valves to the target opening or closing timings of the valves while maintaining the modified opening durations of the valves.

摘要: A method for controlling valve timing for an engine includes: classifying a plurality of control regions depending on an engine speed and an engine load; applying a maximum duration to an intake valve and controlling an exhaust valve to limit a valve overlap in a first region; controlling the intake valve and the exhaust valve to maintain the maximum duration in a second region; advancing an intake valve closing (IVC) timing and an exhaust valve closing (EVC) timing in a third region; approaching the IVC timing to a bottom dead center (BDC) in a fourth region; controlling a throttle valve to be fully opened, advancing an intake valve opening (IVO) timing before a top dead center (TDC), and controlling the IVC timing to be a predetermined value after the BDC in a fifth region; and controlling the throttle valve to be fully opened and advancing the IVC timing in a sixth region.

In particular, the exhaust two-stage VVD device switches a current opening duration of the exhaust valve to a first exhaust opening duration or a second exhaust opening duration which is shorter than the first opening duration based on the target opening duration of the exhaust valve.

摘要: A system of controlling an engine includes: an engine including a combustion chamber, an intake valve, an ignition switch, and an exhaust valve; a dual continuously variable valve duration device to adjust an intake duration of the intake valve and an exhaust duration of the exhaust valve; and a controller for adjusting an ignition timing of the ignition switch, the intake duration, and the exhaust duration based on a driving condition of the vehicle. In particular, until the temperature of the exhaust gas reaches a predetermined temperature after the engine starts, the controller sets the ignition timing to an ignition timing within a predetermined ignition timing range, sets the intake duration of the intake valve to an intake duration within a predetermined intake duration range, and increases the exhaust duration of the exhaust valve to a limit exhaust duration according to the set intake duration.

摘要: A system of controlling an engine provided with a dual continuously variable valve duration device may include the engine including a combustion chamber, an intake valve, an ignition switch provided in the combustion chamber, and an exhaust valve, the CVVD provided to adjust an intake duration of the intake valve and an exhaust duration of the exhaust valve, a warm-up catalytic converter (WCC) including a three-way catalyst (TWC) for purifying hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gas downstream of the engine, a Hydrocarbon (HC) trap disposed downstream of the warm-up catalytic converter for adsorbing and removing the hydrocarbons contained in the exhaust gas, an electrically heated catalyst disposed downstream of the HC trap and provided with a heating device, a three-way catalyst (TWC) disposed downstream of the electrically heated catalyst for purifying hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen oxides contained in the exhaust gas, and a controller for adjusting an ignition timing of the ignition switch, the intake duration and the exhaust duration based on a driving condition of the vehicle.
