    摘要: A canister is attached to a header tank and includes an upper inlet and a lower outlet. Before end cap is brazed to close the bottom of canister, a tube of desiccant material is installed into the canister by a standoff. The standoff includes a disk shaped base and narrow central post which is comparable in length to the height of the inlet above the lower end cap. This is followed by inserting a spur of a higher melting temperature into the canister into a position and extending radially from the post and into an interference fit with the interior wall of the canister that is tighter than the interference fit between the base and the canister.

A block-type expansion valve is configured such that a hollow cylindrical strainer is arranged in a space for introducing high-pressure liquid refrigerant, in a manner surrounding a valve element, and the refrigerant introduced into a refrigerant pipe-connecting hole is permitted to flow into a space on the upstream side of the valve element 17 via the strainer. Therefore, since the shape of a body is not substantially changed, it is possible to provide the expansion valve at low costs by suppressing an increase in the manufacturing costs to the cost of the strainer.

    摘要: A compression device for use in a HVAC&R system that includes a compressor for compressing vaporized refrigerant having a compressor inlet and compressor outlet for directing compressed refrigerant downstream along a first conduit to a condenser. An accumulator is provided for preventing liquid refrigerant from reaching the compressor. The accumulator has an accumulator inlet for receiving refrigerant along a second conduit from an upstream evaporator and an accumulator outlet in fluid communication with the compressor inlet for receiving vaporized refrigerant therein. The accumulator and compressor are integrally connected thereto so that the accumulator and compressor may be installed into a refrigerant recycling system by connecting the compressor outlet with the first conduit and connecting the accumulator inlet with the second conduit. A desiccant is disposed inside the accumulator between the accumulator inlet and outlet for removing moisture from the refrigerant.

A pickup filter is mounted to the bight of the suction tube and cooperates with a desiccant bag. The pickup filter further has a screen filter body extending integrally and downwardly from the clasp. The desiccant bag includes a flap extending from one end, wherein the flap includes an aperture therethrough defining a locating edge at one end or side thereof. The aperture of the desiccant bag mounts over the pickup filter with the locating edge of the flap locating against a portion of the clasp of the pickup filter to assist in retaining the desiccant bag in position on the pickup filter.

    摘要: The improved refrigeration system of the present invention includes an accumulator with a diffuser pipe extending downwardly into the upper end of a vapor refrigerant tank, the diffuser pipe extending from an evaporator and discharging vapor refrigerant therefrom into the tank. The diffuser pipe includes a lower end located within the interior of the tank which is expanded in diameter relative to the upper end, thereby reducing the velocity of fluid flowing through the pipe and entering the accumulator tank.     摘要: The present invention divides the traditional fill-loop heat pump compression (heating) and expansion (refrigeration) process into two separate half-loop processes. The two (half-loop) processes occur separately and are separated by physical distance and/or by time. The two processes are connected by either physical storage means and/or by pipeline means such that low pressure refrigerant and high pressure refrigerant are stored between cycles and/or transported between cycles. In operation, a refrigerant is compressed to provide heat to a location, the compressed refrigerant is then stored/transported to where/when a cooling process is needed whereupon the refrigerant is expanded to provide refrigeration, the expanded refrigerant is then stored/transported to where/when a heating process is needed. The result of this invention is a significant reduction in energy required to heat and cool buildings, a reduction in fossil fuel consumption (and concomitant carbon dioxide gas emission pollution), a reduction in thermal pollution (and concomitant global warming), and a reduction in the cost of heating and cooling buildings.
