摘要: An automatic pet feeder includes a base, a feed auger, a food container connected to the base, and a food dish connected to the base. The feed auger is disposed for rotating movement within the base. The base is configured to receive food from the food container through an opening and delivery food to the food dish using the feed auger.

摘要: A selective access system, and methods of making and using such a system, whereby the selective access system includes a container having an interior space defined by a side wall disposed between opposing top and bottom walls; an opening disposed within the side wall, the opening communicating with the interior space; and a cover slidably engaged with the container, the cover configured to slide upward and downward between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the cover overlays the opening; in the second position, the cover disposes away from at least a portion of the opening to permit access to the interior space. The selective access system can further include an electrical conductor coupled to the container, whereby the electrical conductor can deliver a nonlethal electrical shock to an animal which comes into contact therewith to deter the animal from the selective access system.

摘要: A pet feeding apparatus includes a feed tank, a discharge tank, and an ejection assembly. The feed tank includes an accommodation chamber and a discharge outlet communicating with the accommodation chamber. The discharge tank includes an ejection outlet, an inlet, and an ejection chamber located between the ejection outlet and the inlet. The inlet communicates with the discharge outlet of the feed tank. The ejection assembly includes a rotation blade and a driving member. The rotation blade is received in the ejection chamber, and the rotation blade includes a rotation shaft and a blade extending from the rotation shaft. The driving member is connected to the rotation shaft and is capable of driving the rotation shaft to rotate with respect to the ejection chamber, so that the driving member drives the blade to swing from the inlet toward the ejection outlet.

摘要: Provided herein are mechanisms and methods for the automated distribution of active ingredients (whether oral or contact based) to wild and domestic animal populations as well as a method for monitoring animal activity and estimating consumption and/or application of such ingredients within the population through the utilization of the mechanisms themselves. The inventive device pertains to a manner of delivering either an active oral ingredient or active contact ingredient within a bait pellet or like substrate for ingestion or external contact and/or coating of a target population. The device allows for controlled access of such a bait pellet (or like substrate) for such a target population coupled with the ability to retain freshness thereof for multiple timed access events without the need for human involvement. A properly sized, configured, and automated delivery device is thus provided to meet these needs. Delivery components are also encompassed herein.

摘要: The present invention relates to a control unit (116) for a game or fish feeder (100). The control unit (116) is mounted on the feeder (100) and comprises: means (130) for controlling the powering of a drive unit (110) of said feeder (100) for controlled output of feed from the feeder (100); a wireless transmitter (138) arranged to communicate over a wireless network (146) with a remote unit (140); a sensor (132; 134) for measuring a parameter of the feeder (100); and means (124) for determining whether a measured parameter value provided by said sensor (132; 134) fulfills a predetermined condition in order to detect an action-requiring state of the feeder (100). In response to a detected action-requiring state, the wireless transmitter (138) is triggered to send a notification to said remote unit (140).

摘要: A vehicle for performing an animal-related operation, in particular for use with cows, is delimited by an outer side. The vehicle includes an electrical shock device for emitting an electrical shock to an animal. The shock device includes at least one pair of elongate, electrically conductive strips which run substantially parallel to each other so as to leave clear an electrically insulating intermediate space in between and which extend at least along a portion of the outer side of the vehicle. The strips of the or each pair of mutually parallel strips each have a shape including first parts which extend in a first direction which corresponds to the longitudinal direction of the elongate, mutually parallel strips, and including second parts which extend transversely, preferably substantially perpendicularly, with respect to the first direction. The shock device includes an electrical voltage source which is electrically connected to the strips in such a way that an electrically closed circuit is formed when the strips are electrically connected across the intermediate space, such as when both strips are touched by an animal.

摘要: A method of preparing a feed ration for an animal includes determining an initial nutritive value of a forage material, and then macerating the forage material with a mechanical macerator. An actual amount of maceration of the forage material achieved by the mechanical macerator is then determined with a macerator sensor. The initial nutritive value may then be corrected to define a corrected nutritive value that accounts for the change in digestibility of the forage material caused by maceration. A formulation for the feed ration may then be defined or determined based on the corrected nutritive value of the forage material.
