The headband support assembly pivots on the housing between a configuration suitable for shipping and storing the assembly and a configuration in which the assembly is worn. An accessory light powered by a battery may be held in place on the housing by magnetic attraction through the hood.

摘要: According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a helmet comprising an inner shell (3) a detachable outer shell (2) and an intermediate layer (4) between the inner shell and the outer shell. At least one connecting member (5) is configured to directly connect the inner shell to the outer shell, and allow sliding between the inner shell and the outer shell, when the outer shell is attached to the helmet. When the outer shell is attached, the outer shell and the inner shell are configured to slide relative to one another in response to an impact. A sliding interface is provided between the intermediate layer and one or both of the outer shell and the inner shell.

摘要: The invention provides an equipment and a system that addresses the key concerns of eating/drinking in public while minimizing the chance of contamination of the eater and the public in general. The equipment can be a face mask, a face shield or a helmet that completely encloses at least the mouth and the nose of a person while providing intermittent access to the mouth without removal of the equipment. A mouth opening is provided on the equipment which is selectively blocked or unblocked by a covering element moved by a moving mechanism that moves the cover element to block or unblock the mouth opening. The mouth opening is selectively blocked or unblocked based on the distance between an activating element provided on a utensil or a wearable device and a receiving element provided on the equipment.

摘要: A multi-sectional helmet for reducing the impact of force sustained in sporting, construction, military, motorized vehicle, and other activities where the impact of force applied to the head must be mitigated. Planar compression springs between helmet sections generate gaps between sections for distribution of force from external impact as springs compress and bend radially, permitting movement of sectional parts toward and away from one another. The number of springs and spring parameters as well as the number and arrangement of helmet sections may be modulated to optimize the distribution of force. The ends of compression springs are anchored to adjacent helmet sections, and material extending from one helmet section and overlapping the adjacent helmet section prevents exposure of the interior of the helmet to the elements.

摘要: A lacrosse helmet with a plastic shell has a full jaw protector attached to the shell at a right side of the shell and at a left side of the shell, extending forwardly from the shell and extending continuously from the right side of the shell to the left side of the shell and adapted to cover and protect a lower jaw of the wearer. A faceguard made of a grid of horizontal wire members, vertical wire members, and a bottom wire member is removably attached to both the shell and the full jaw protector by loop straps. T-intersections are formed by the bottom wire member and certain of the vertical wire members, adjacent to and above the full jaw protector and forward of loop straps connecting the faceguard to the jaw protector. The loop straps act as stops against rearward movement of the vertical wire members thereby resisting the tendency of the faceguard to slide and twist when struck with blows during sports play.

摘要: A protective football helmet is provided having a one-piece molded shell with an impact attenuation system. This system includes an impact attenuation member formed in an extent of the front shell portion by removing material from the front portion. The impact attenuation member is purposely engineered to change how the front portion responds to an impact force applied substantially normal to the front portion as compared to how other portions of the shell respond to that impact force. In one version, the impact attenuation member is a cantilevered segment formed in the front portion of the shell.
