    摘要: Apparatus for intermittently advancing successive equivalent length portions of a generally continuous sheet through an upstream article forming station. A gear assembly intermediate drive means and a sheet advance roll includes oscillating arm means which, in combination with a brake on the roll, controls its acceleration and deceleration to provide smooth sheet movement. The extent of sheet displacement may be quickly changed by a lever having a portion mounted exterior to the housing of the gear assembly which, when rotated, changes the center distance between a rotary crank in the input drive train and a pivot shaft of the oscillating arm means which receives power from the input drive train.

    摘要: In the stamping of articles from scroll shaped strips, it is necessary that the strip be accurately positioned so as to precisely align the strip with respect to the stamping dies. The entire area of the articles must be stamped out of the material of the strip to insure its perfect shape. The invention contemplates novel and improved means for engaging the side edges of the scroll cut strip for the purpose of accurately positioning and aligning the strip with respect to the stamping dies. In one modification the side edges of the strip are provided with piloting notches.

    摘要: A fin manufacturing method and apparatus includes: a first inter-row slit device that forms, by forming in a thin metal plate having a plurality of openings a plurality of slits extending in a longitudinal direction of the thin metal plate while leaving an uncut portion between the plurality of slits, metal strips partially coupled to each other in a transverse direction; a feed roller and a feeding device that convey, in the longitudinal direction, the metal strips in which the plurality of slits is formed by the first inter-row slit device; and a stacking device that (i) forms fins by cutting the uncut portion via which the metal strips are coupled to each other, to separate the metal strips and by cutting the metal strips at regular length intervals and (ii) stacks the formed fins.

    摘要: A system for forming a plurality of hot stamped steel parts for automotive applications includes a furnace with a stack of sealed chambers, each containing an individual heater, for simultaneously heating a plurality of blanks. Each chamber is removable from the furnace, so that if the heater contained therein malfunctions, the heater can be repaired while the other chambers continue to heat the blanks. Each chamber also comprises a shelf including a plurality of driven rollers for conveying the blanks through the furnace. A blank feeder also including a plurality of driven rollers extends continuously from the furnace to a hot forming apparatus. The hot forming apparatus includes a plurality of cavities for shaping one or more of the blanks into a plurality of the parts.

    摘要: The invention relates to a wire feed station of a wire shaping machine, said station including grooved rollers functioning in pairs and rotating in reverse directions with respect to each other. The wire is clamped between said rollers by these moving closer to one another. Both rollers of the same pair of driving rollers are supported at the front of the same bearing block unit, said bearing block being elastically deformable to absorb a relative movement of the rollers. Preferably, said bearing block also supports an endless transmission screw on which are engaged a couple of transmission wheels coaxial with the driving rollers which they drive into rotation. More particularly, a bearing block is deformed so that a relative movement of the rollers results in a rotation-deformation of the bearing block about the transmission screw axis.

    摘要: A method and a device for producing a hollow body from solid round steel that has been heated to shaping temperature by piercing in an inclined rolling mill using pass-closing guide elements. For this purpose, prior to the commencement of piercing, the clear distance between the pass-closing guide elements is reduced in comparison to that of the stationary rolling phase and, after initial rolling, the distance is adjusted to the customary value for the stationary phase. The changes in distance are effected automatically through the balancing of the forces acting on the pass-closing guide elements during the shaping of the round steel and the closing forces which keep the pass opening dimension small.

A trailing row of punching tools performs the first punching step with respect to a fresh plate at the same time when a leading row of tools performs the last punching step with respect to the preceding plate. There are provided sensors to determine plate length and/or angularity of the late edges in order to enable a numerical control to compute correction data for correcting the feeding of the plate whereby punching through the trailing and leading edges of the lates is avoided.
