摘要： A method and apparatus of ordering a window covering comprises providing a measuring block that is mounted adjacent an architectural feature to be measured. A digital photograph is taken of the architectural feature with the measuring block. A display resolution of the photograph is determined. A scale of the photograph is determined using the measuring block. A dimension of the architectural feature is calculated based on the scale of the photograph. The window covering is cut to the calculated dimension.

摘要： A cutting installation for a fabric web comprising an unwinding unit, a downstream dancer unit serving as a buffer, and a downstream cutting frame with a cutting unit disposed thereon. At least two gripper beams extending parallel to the cutting unit and guided along a lateral rail arrangement are displaceable across the longitudinal extension of the cutting frame, and each gripper beam on one side is carried by a first support tower which is displaceable along the rails, and on its opposite end is provided with a telescopically extendable extension piece. The extension piece can be docked with a second support tower arranged on the opposite side and traveling along. The support towers are adapted for adjusting the height of the respectively carried gripper beam, such that each gripper beam, as it moves along the cutting frame, can travel over the other gripper beam.

摘要： A band saw machine includes a saw band for severing a workpiece in a cutting plane; a saw band support for swinging the saw band into the cutting plane before each sawing step; clamping jaws disposed downstream of the cutting plane as viewed in the feed direction for clamping the workpiece undergoing sawing; and feed jaws for advancing the workpiece toward the cutting plane. The feed jaws are openable after closing the clamping jaws and before ending a sawing step, shiftable from the cutting plane to an extent of a successive work piece feed and closable for moving the workpiece against the feed direction away from the cutting plane after the sawing step. An arrangement shifts the saw band support away from and perpendicularly to the cutting plane toward the workpiece held spaced from and upstream of the cutting plane prior to retracting the saw band from the cutting plane.

A tapered article locator provided within a thermoformed web also having articles therein is captured between the plunger and the receiver as the punch plate and die plate are brought together there about, thereby imparting alignment of an article in the web between the punch and the die. A method for aligning and severing articles from a web is also provided.
