    Abstract: Disclosed is a control method of a laundry treatment apparatus including a cabinet defining an external appearance and having a front opening, a drawer provided to be discharged through the opening, a tub accommodated in the drawer to accommodate wash water therein, a drum rotatably provided inside the tub to accommodate laundry therein, a fastening unit configured to separably couple the drawer to the cabinet, and a sensing unit configured to sense whether the drawer is discharged from the cabinet, the method including receiving a control command to operate the laundry treatment apparatus, sensing whether insertion of the drawer into the cabinet is completed by controlling the sensing unit, locking the drawer to the cabinet by controlling the fastening unit, performing the control command, and releasing a locked state so as to separate the drawer from the cabinet by controlling the fastening unit when the control command is completely performed.

    Abstract: A user interface includes a touch-sensitive display and a display control unit for controlling the display. A method for controlling a household appliance using the graphical user interface includes the steps of: displaying a first graphical representation on the display, the first graphical representation including symbols, each symbol being associated with an appliance subunit of the household appliance; when a symbol is touched by a touching means, transmitting control signals from the control unit to the display to change the first graphical representation into a second graphical representation; displaying information regarding a change of a setting value of the appliance entity associated with the touched symbol when the touching means is dragged from a first position to a second position at the display; and changing the graphical representation at the display from the second graphical representation to a third graphical representation when lifting the touching means from the display.

    Abstract: A laundry treatment apparatus in accordance with the present disclosure includes a drum configured to accommodate laundry, an air channel through which air is flowed into or out of the drum, a fan configured to put pressure on air in the air channel for flowing of the air, a fan motor configured to rotate the fan and being controlled by adjusting of a RPM, an abnormal airflow detection unit disposed on the air channel and configured to detect whether an abnormal state of airflow is occurred, and a controller configured to cause the RPM of the fan motor to be increased. The controller configured to cause laundry to be dried by rotating the fan motor at a predetermined base RPM, and to cause the RPM to be increased if the abnormality of airflow is detected by the abnormal airflow detection unit while the fan motor is rotating.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus for treating laundry with an induction heater and controlling method thereof. In a laundry treating apparatus including an induction heater, the present invention includes a first step of setting a normal dry mode and an abnormal dry mode for controlling the induction heater with a output relatively lower than that of the normal dry mode, a second step of operating the induction heater in the normal dry mode, a third step of determining whether a dry load is a normal load or an abnormal load using at least one of a temperature of a drum and a current of a motor, and a fourth step of if the dry load is determined as the abnormal load, controlling the induction heater in the abnormal dry mode.
