Abstract: A display panel and a display device are provided. The display panel includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and a liquid crystal layer provided between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer. The liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystal molecules, and the second electrode layer includes a first area disposed corresponding to a non-display area of the display panel. A voltage applied to the first electrode layer is equal to a voltage applied to the first area of the second electrode layer, so that an orientation of the liquid crystal molecules located between the first electrode layer and the first area of the second electrode layer is not changed.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a device and a method for adjusting brightness of a display device. In the method for adjusting brightness of the display device, a first voltage data is applied to the display device when a peak brightness condition is met, or a second voltage data is applied to the display device when the peak brightness condition is not met, enabling the first voltage data greater than the second voltage data to be applied to the display device when the peak brightness condition is met, thus increasing the brightness when the display device emits light to display an image to be displayed and improving contrast.

Abstract: A pixel and a liquid crystal display are provided. The pixel includes at least one sub-pixel. Each sub-pixel includes a main sub-pixel, a first secondary sub-pixel, and a second secondary sub-pixel, which comprises three similar charging TFTs and two discharging TFTs. By using different discharging capabilities of the two discharging TFTs, it can introduce the voltage differences among the main sub-pixel, the first secondary sub-pixel and the second secondary sub-pixel. It equivalently obtains twelve display domains and thus enormously improves the viewing angle.

Abstract: The present application provides a display panel. A main sub-pixel electrode of the display panel is divided into a first portion, a second portion, and a peripheral connection portion. A secondary sub-pixel electrode is arranged in an accommodating space formed by the first portion, the second portion, and the peripheral connection portion. A scan line is arranged at one side of the second portion away from the first portion, so that the main and secondary sub-pixel electrodes are located at the same side of the scan line. Accordingly, an opening area of the sub-pixel unit is increased, and light transmittance of a sub-pixel unit is increased.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a thin-film transistor liquid-crystal display comprising a first substrate. The first substrate comprises an active area and a non-active area surrounding the active area. The active area is provided with a thin film transistor. The non-active area is provided with a first common electrode, a transfer pad, and an arc-shaped protrusion. The transfer pad is disposed on a side of the non-active area away from the active area and is disposed on the first common electrode for connecting to a common voltage generating circuit. The arc-shaped protrusion is disposed on a side of the non-active area near the active area. By providing the arc-shaped protrusion, the thin film transistor liquid crystal display prevents abnormal display caused by an alignment solution spreading to the transfer pad in the non-active area of the first substrate when the alignment solution is coated on the active area.
