Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques for performing sidelink communications. For instance, a first client device can determine a first transmit power parameter for transmitting sidelink communications. The first transmit power parameter can either be received from a base station associated with the first client device or it can be a default parameter based on the first client device not being associated with a base station. The first client device can transmit, to a second client device, a first sidelink transmission having a first power level corresponding to the first transmit power parameter. The first client device can receive, from the second client device, a first sidelink reception having a second power level corresponding to a second transmit power parameter.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to techniques for physical uplink control channel configuration and coverage enhancement in a wireless communication network. A base station can dynamically indicate a repetition factor for an uplink control channel to improve coverage of the uplink control channel. The base station can explicitly or implicitly indicate the repetition factor using various signaling techniques. The interpretation of an indication of a repetition factor can depend on one or more parameters, for example, a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format, an uplink control information size, a code rate, and/or a PUCCH resource set used for the PUCCH.

Abstract: A first UE in a UE group may determine that a sidelink channel is available for data transmission and transmit SCI reserving a COT on the sidelink channel. A second may receive, from the first UE, the SCI reserving the COT on the sidelink channel and transmitting the sidelink transmission on the sidelink channel using one or more resources of the inter-group sharable resources. The COT may include a first set of resources reserved for the first UE, an intra-group sharable resources capable of being shared by the UE group, and an inter-group sharable resources capable of being shared by the second UE outside of the UE group. The second UE may perform the CAT 1 or CAT 2 LBT procedure to contend for the inter-group sharable resources. The access to the inter-group sharable resources may be limited.

The wireless communication device may transmit a preemption indication that indicates that resources reserved for an announced future communication have been preempted for another communication. An example method for wireless communication at a first sidelink device includes identifying a configuration of a bandwidth part (BWP) for sidelink communication. In some examples, the BWP may comprise at least a first resource pool including a first subset of frequency resources and a second resource pool including a second subset of frequency resources. The example method also includes receiving an activation indication activating the second subset of frequency resources of the second resource pool. Additionally, the example method includes activating the second subset of frequency resources of the second resource pool based on the activation indication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses for wireless communications that support transmission diversity enhancement for uplink control channel are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for enhanced performance of an uplink control channel such as a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) through the use of transmission diversity. In some cases, multiple input multiple output (MIMO) techniques may be supported for transmission of an uplink control channel for a given format suitable for transmission diversity enhancement. A resource block (RB) used in an uplink control channel transmission may contain a number of resource elements (REs) across one or more resource blocks. According to some aspects, a transmit diversity scheme may be employed at the RE level through application of different spatial precoders for different groups of REs of a given RB.

In one example, a method performed by a UE includes receiving an indication to put a first CC into dormancy; and putting an SL CC into a dormant state in response to the indication. In another example, a method includes transmitting an indication that the first UE will put an SL CC into a dormant state; and receiving an acknowledgment (ACK) of the indication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a resource configuration for a random access (RA) procedure. The resource configuration may identify multiple sets of transmission resources corresponding to multiple radio resource control (RRC) states. The UE may identify an RRC state and may determine a set of transmission resources and/or a transport format based on the indication of the resource configuration, the identified RRC state, and/or a UE identifier (UE ID). The UE may transmit a first RA procedure message (e.g., a msgA) using the determined transmission resources and/or transport format. The base station may receive the message and may identify the RRC state of the UE based on the first message and transmitted indication of the resource configuration. The base station may transmit a second RA procedure message (e.g., a msgB), which the UE may receive.
