    Abstract: A filter element has an upstream and downstream side. A filter media assembly of the filter element has an upstream side and a downstream side and has a first filter media layer and a second filter media layer that is adjacent to the first media layer. A substantial portion of the first layer and second layer are uncoupled, and at least one of the first media layer and second media layer comprises binder fiber. The second media layer has a mean flow pore size equal to or smaller than the first media layer. A support layer system is adjacent to the downstream side of the filter media assembly, and a first wire mesh layer is adjacent to the support layer system. At least the first media layer, second media layer, support layer system, and first wire mesh cooperatively define pleats at a pleat packing density of greater than 125%.

    Abstract: The technology disclosed herein generally relates to fluted filter assemblies, where flutes formed in the filter media extend from a first flow face of the filter assembly to a second flow face of the filter assembly, where one flow face is an inlet and one flow face is the outlet. Some embodiments relate to first flute distance between the first flow face and the second flow face differing from a second flute distance between the first flow face and the second flow face by greater than 2 mm. In some embodiments at least one of the first flow face and the second flow face is non-planar, while in other embodiments at both of the first flow face and the second flow face are planar and non-parallel. Other embodiments are described.

    Abstract: The technology disclosed herein relates to a filter assembly. The filter assembly has a double-sided adhesive layer having a first side and a second side and defining a filter opening. A first membrane extends over the filter opening and is directly coupled to the first side of the double-sided adhesive layer about the filter opening. An adsorbent element is directly coupled to the first membrane, where the adsorbent element and the first membrane are coextensive. A second membrane encapsulates the first membrane and the adsorbent element. The second membrane is directly coupled to the first side of the double-sided adhesive layer around the first membrane and adsorbent element.

    Abstract: According to the present disclosure, air cleaner assemblies, components, features, and methods relating thereto, are described. These features, in part, relate to configuration of a preferred seal arrangement and seal surface of the cartridge. Particular arrangements are shown, in which: the filter cartridge includes a seal arrangement having a axial pinch seal surface with a projection/recess contour including at least one projection thereon; and, the cartridge includes a seal contour projection stabilizing portion at a location in perimeter alignment with the portion of the seal pinch arrangement including the first housing engagement projection. Additional features are included that relate to clean air separator section tubes of a precleaner arrangement secured to a cartridge. These features can be used in cartridges including features outlined above, or in alternative cartridges. Additional features of air cleaner arrangements and filter cartridges in accord with the above are described.

    Abstract: The technology disclosed herein relates to, in part, a filter assembly. Filter media is arranged about a central media opening, where the filter media has a first end and a second end. The central media opening extends in an axial direction from the first end towards the second end. An endcap is coupled to the first end of the filter media. The endcap defines an opening in fluid communication with the central media opening, an inner surface abutting and surrounding the endcap opening, and a perimetric sealing surface about the endcap. A first portion of the perimetric sealing surface projects inwardly towards the endcap opening and a second portion of the perimetric sealing surface projects outwardly from the endcap opening. The first portion and the second portion are in axial alignment, and the perimetric sealing surface forms an oblong loop in a first cross-section orthogonal to the axial direction.

    Abstract: An air cleaner assembly is disclosed, along with related methods. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly has a housing including a housing body and a removable cover that together define an interior volume for holding a filter cartridge. The housing can include a first part of a first connection arrangement. The air filter cartridge can include a second part of the first connection arrangement. In one aspect, the first and second parts can be secured together place the air filter cartridge in a latched position by moving the air filter cartridge in a first direction. In one aspect, the first and second parts can be disconnected from each other to place the air filter cartridge in an unlatched position by moving the air filter cartridge in the first direction. The air cleaner assembly can include a second connection arrangement securing the air filter cartridge to the housing cover such that the housing body and housing cover are secured together.
