    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a device may determine a shared demodulation reference signal (DMRS) configuration for a plurality of resource blocks of a channel, wherein a frequency domain associated with the plurality of resource blocks overlaps for a control resource of the channel and a data resource of the channel, and wherein the plurality of resource blocks are associated with a shared precoding scheme. The device may transmit a DMRS based at least in part on determining the shared DMRS configuration to enable a receiver to receive the plurality of resource blocks of the channel. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: A base station may maintain multiple beam pair links, with one being actively used for communication. The active beam pair may become blocked. Accordingly, it may be necessary to switch to another beam pair. The apparatus may be an apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus for wireless communication may include a memory and at least one processor coupled to the memory. The at least one processor is configured to determine a set of active beam pairs including at least a first beam pair and a second beam pair and select the first beam pair. The at least one processor is also configured to predict that the first beam pair is blocked, the prediction based on an expiration of a timer and sweep through the set of active beam pairs based on predicting that the first beam pair is blocked.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to channel reservations and channel monitoring in a channel shared by multiple network operating entities are provided. A first wireless communication device transmits a first configuration indicating a first set of channel monitoring occasions for a channel. Each channel monitoring occasion of the first set of channel monitoring occasions is aligned to a start of a transmission slot. The first wireless communication device transmits, based on a first listen-before-talk (LBT) in the channel, a first channel reservation signal to reserve a first transmission opportunity (TXOP) in the channel, the first channel reservation signal transmitted during a first channel monitoring occasion of the first set of channel monitoring occasions that is within the first TXOP. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a first communication signal in the channel during the first TXOP.

    Abstract: In order to maintain flexible system bandwidth and a flexible center frequency, without requiring a cyclic prefix or guard interval, a transmitter apparatus transmits a reference signal based on a single carrier waveform having a mixed symbol structure, in reference signal symbols using at least one of a cyclic prefix and a guard interval and transmits data based on the single carrier waveform without the cyclic prefix or the guard interval. The data may be based on input data processed using overlapping FFT windows, and an amount of overlap between the FFT windows may be configurable by the transmitter or the receiver. An apparatus receiving the downlink transmission comprising data based on a single carrier waveform may process the data based on overlapping FFT windows.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support slot format determination for extended cyclic prefix (ECP) transmissions using normal cyclic prefix (NCP) slot formats. A slot format indicator (SFI) for NCP slots may identify transmission directions (e.g., uplink symbols, downlink symbols, or flexible symbols) for different symbols within a slot, and the SFI may provide an indication of a particular slot format that is to be used. Starting and ending times of each NCP symbol in a slot may be time domain mapped to starting and ending times of each ECP symbol in the slot. A transmission direction of each ECP symbol may be determined based at least in part on the transmission direction of at least a portion of at least one NCP symbol that fully or partially overlaps in the time domain with a corresponding ECP symbol.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) may include: receiving a multicast bandwidth part configuration for multicast communications between a base station and the UE, where the multicast bandwidth part configuration includes a maximum number of multiple-input, multiple-output layers to be used for the multicast communications; establishing a multicast link with the base station for multicast communications; determining to use a reduced number of antennas for multicast reception than the number of antennas used for unicast reception, or determining that the UE is able to decode the multicast communications prior to a remaining portion of the multicast communications; and receiving the multicast communications via the reduced number of antennas, or reducing the radio frequency power prior to completion of a number of repetitions or retransmissions of the multicast communications.
