Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for efficiently allocating a transmission period in a WLAN system. An access point (AP) transmits a PSMP message providing a downlink period and an uplink period provided to each station (STA), and at least one sub PSMP frame indicating a period of at least one of a downlink and an uplink for an STA requiring additional resource allocation. After exchanging data with the AP in the downlink and uplink periods provided by the PSMP frame, if there is a need for additional resource allocation, the STA receives the at least one sub PSMP frame and exchanges data with the AP in the period provided by the each sub PSMP frame.

Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a heating roller to apply heat to a printing medium, a hollow pressing roller to rotate in an opposite direction with respect to the heating roller with the printing paper located therebetween, and to press the printing paper, and a supporting member disposed in the pressing roller to radially support the pressing roller.
Abstract:
A stub printed antenna (SPDA) and a method of designing the same are provided. The SPDA include: a substrate; dipole arms disposed at both surfaces of the substrate for transmitting/receiving a signal; a parallel metal strip line disposed at both surfaces of the substrate, and each having one end connected to each of the dipole arms; a stub disposed at both surfaces of the substrate, and connected to the other end of the parallel metal strip line; a coaxial probe connected to the junction of the parallel metal strip line and the stub for feeding signals; a hole for inserting an inner conductor of the coaxial probe; and a contact for connecting to an outer conductor of the coaxial probe.
Abstract:
A polishing pad of a CMP apparatus has a plurality of pores. A characteristic associated with the pores, such as average size or pore density, varies substantially from region to region of the pad across the pad in a diametral direction of the pad. The polishing pad can be designed and manufactured using sample pads whose pore characteristics differ from each other. CMP test processes are performed in which the sample pads are used to polish test wafers, and the rates at which the test wafers are polished are measured and stored in a database. The polishing pad is fabricated using data from the database so that a chemical mechanical polishing apparatus employing the pad will polish wafers with a high degree of uniformity. The database can be used to select sample pads from a stockpile. Sections of the sample pads are cut out, respectively, and fastened to one another.
Abstract:
A fixing unit, and an image forming apparatus having the fixing unit. The fixing unit includes a heat roller including a heat source therein, one or more pressing rollers in close contact with the heat roller, an elastic body to elastically apply pressure on both ends of the one or more pressing rollers with respect to the heat roller, a backup member to contact a central portion of the one or more pressing rollers and to apply pressure to the central portion in a longitudinal direction of the one or more pressing rollers, and a backup elastic body to elastically press the backup member towards the heat roller.
Abstract:
A heating body is provided. The heating body includes a plurality of heating members having different thermal expansion coefficients and a tube in which the heating members are disposed. At least one of the plurality of heating members supports other heating member.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for configuring a bitmap in a mobile communication system employing a block ACK scheme, which faithfully performs its intrinsic function of acknowledging a reception result, and yet can reduce transmission delay and the overall system load due to retransmission in the case where packet loss is relatively less important than transmission delay time, such as in the case of voice communication. To this end, a recipient compares a PER of a received packet signal with a threshold value. If the PER is higher than the threshold value, the recipient operates in the block ACK scheme, and if the PER is lower than the threshold value, the recipient determines a bitmap configuration scheme on the assumption that an erroneous frame has been successfully received. Also, using the determined bitmap configuration scheme, the recipient transmits a reception result for each received packet.
Abstract:
A digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) system and conditional access method for regionally limiting DMB reception. A DMB station collects information about location of a DMB receiving terminal when a broadcast channel with regional conditional access features is being broadcast. According to the current location of a DMB receiving terminal, the DMB station checks subscribers whose reception of the broadcast channel with the regional conditional reception features is limited. The DMB station includes reception restriction information for limiting the reception of the broadcast channel in subscriber entitlement information of subscribers. The DMB receiving terminal descrambles and outputs a transport stream (TS) packet of the broadcast channel according to the received subscriber entitlement information. Therefore, the reception of a specific broadcast channel can be limited according to location of a user of the DMB receiving terminal.
