Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) capable wireless device configured to perform sidelink cellular communications. The wireless device performs sidelink communications using a two-stage sidelink control information (SCI) protocol including Stage 1 SCI messaging carried on a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH), and Stage 2 SCI messaging carried on a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH). The SCI messaging may be encoded using polar codes. Channel interleaving is utilized on the SCI to interleave the SCI between two or more layers of a MIMO transmission system. Scrambling for Stage 2 SCI messaging is performed based on the result of a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) performed on Stage 1 SCI messaging. Collisions between sidelink HARQ feedback to be transmitted to a base station and other transmissions are avoided based on a priority analysis of the sidelink HARQ feedback.

An example method includes receiving, via frequency and time resources of a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH), from a second UE, a signal encoding a sequence of bits corresponding to sidelink control information (SCI) stage 2; decoding the sequence of bits based on a SCI stage 2 scrambling initialization value (Cinit) to generate SCI stage 2 for a transport block (TB), wherein Cinit is determined based on at least a portion of a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) cyclic redundancy check (CRC) code; and receiving the TB from the first UE based on the SCI stage 2.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of a device that determines an occurrence of the DL SPS or the UL CG to determine a periodicity of a packet generation is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the method receives a configuration for a downlink (DL) Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS) or an uplink (UL) Configured Grant (CG). The configuration includes an indication of non-integer periodicity of the DL SPS or the UL CG. Additionally, the method determines an occurrence of the DL SPS or the UL CG based on the received configuration for the DL SPS or the UL CG to determine a periodicity of a packet generation. Thereafter, the method transmits or receives data based on the configuration for the DL SPS or the UL CG.

Abstract: When a user equipment (UE) encounters a radio link failure condition, the UE may transmit a radio link failure report to a network. The report may include information defining the radio link monitoring (RLM) resources of a current RLM configuration. The information may take the form of a resource bitmap or a list of resource identifiers/indices. The network may use the information (and radio resource management measurements) to determine whether the radio link failure occurred due to misconfiguration of RLM resources for the UE. In cases where the network does not provide RLM configuration, the UE may omit the bitmap (or list), or populate the bitmap with all zeros, or populate the bitmap (or list) according to a currently active Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) state, which is indicated by downlink control information (DCI).

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for beam reporting to facilitate multiple transmission and reception points, multi-TRPs, transmission schemes. A UE may receive, from a base station a configuration to report a beam quality based on at least one of a first reporting scheme and a second reporting scheme or a configuration of measurement resources for each TRP of a plurality of TRPs. The UE may report the beam quality based on the configuration or L1 measurements for multiple beam pairs and a recommended and/or assumed transmission scheme based on the configured measurement resources. The first reporting scheme may include the UE reporting at least one L1 measurement for multiple beams and the second reporting scheme may include the UE reporting at least one L1 measurement for multiple beam pairs. The recommended and/or assumed transmission scheme may be a non-coherent-joint transmission (NC-JT) transmission scheme and/or a single frequency network (SFN) transmission scheme.

Abstract: Improved configured grants (CGs) may include the designation of a footprint corresponding to uplink transmission of a UE, with the footprint at least partially defined by the occupied transmission time, occupied transmission frequency, and transmission power. The footprint may be adjustable and/or selectable by the UE according to the current traffic needs of the UE and within limits set for the footprint via prior signaling from the base station to the UE. The actual footprint parameters/values for the UE's uplink data transmissions may be received by the base station as part of CG uplink control information (CG-UCI) received from the UE. The base station may receive the CG-UCI over resources configured according to additional parameter values transmitted to the UE via the prior signaling from the base station. The base station may further receive uplink data on resources configured according to the actual footprint values.

Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, baseband processors, and methods for performing uplink communications and vehicle-to-everything sidelink communication. A wireless device receives first control information through a sidelink control channel specifying one or more first time slots for the wireless device to transmit a sidelink acknowledgment message over a sidelink feedback channel. The wireless device receives a resource grant through a downlink control channel, wherein the resource grant specifies one or more second time slots for the wireless device to transmit an uplink transmission over an uplink channel. The first and second time slots at least partially overlap, and it is selectively determined whether to transmit the sidelink acknowledgment message or the uplink transmission during the overlapping time slots.

The sidelink feedback status may indicate whether sidelink feedback is enabled or not enabled.
