    Abstract: A system (15) regulates a temperature of fluid in a sector of a fluid distribution network, including a feed line (11) transporting fluid from a thermal energy source (3) to a thermal energy consumer (7) within the sector and a return line (13) transporting fluid back. A bypass line (17) connects the return line to the feed line, mixing fluid from the return line into the feed line. A pump is at the bypass line. A temperature sensor determines a temperature of fluid in the feed line downstream of the bypass line. A pressure sensor determines an uncontrolled pressure difference between the feed line and the return line, or an uncontrolled pressure difference correlated therewith. A control unit controls the speed of the pump with a closed-loop control for achieving a target feed line temperature based on the determined temperature, and a feed-forward control compensating fluctuations of the pressure difference.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing an object (24) by joining a first component (25) and a second component (26). The first component comprises metal powder with a first alloy composition and a first soluble binder, and the second component comprises metal powder with a second alloy composition and a second soluble binder. They may further comprise ceramic powder. At least one of the surfaces to be joined is dissolved before they are brought in contact, or a mixture of metal powder with a third alloy composition and a dissolved third binder is arranged there between. The chemical differences between the first, second, and third alloy compositions are within predetermined limits. The components are sintered or oxidized together whereby it is possible to obtain an object wherein the transitions between the material phases from the joined components are close to inconspicuous when analysed with scanning electron microscopy.

    Abstract: A centrifugal pump assembly includes an electrical drive motor (2), with at least one impeller (18) which is driven by the motor and a pump casing (6) which surrounds the impeller (18) and which includes at least one suction connection (20) and at least two delivery connections (22, 24).     Abstract: An electric pump drive motor three-phase stator assembly (1) includes three sets of stator segments (Si,j), configured in a ring about a stator axis (R). Each set includes n≥2 stator segments arranged in an n-fold rotational symmetry about the stator axis. Each stator segment includes a coil (3) having a first coil wire end and a second coil wire end. A plurality of 3n−3 connection wires (Wi,k) connect coils of a respective set of stator segments in series.     Abstract: A control system suppresses biological growth, scale formation and/or corrosion in a recirculating evaporative cooling facility (1). The control system is configured to: monitor a value (C) from at least one sensor (19a-l). The value is indicative of an ion concentration in a cooling liquid of the recirculating evaporative cooling facility (1). The control system controls at least one flow regulation device (21, 23) for regulating the hydraulic operation of at least one de-ionising unit (13) of the recirculating evaporative cooling facility (1). The control system is configured to control at least one parameter of hydraulic operation of the at least one de-ionising unit (13) based on an adaptive target water saving as long as the monitored value (C) does not pass a pre-determined threshold.
