Abstract: Systems and methods publishing content are disclosed herein. A content item for publication on a multimedia platform is received, and a first plurality of users within a first radius are detected. The content item is published to the first plurality of users and first data of the interaction of the first plurality of users with the content item is collected. Thereafter, an engagement score based on the first data is calculated. In response to the engagement score being above a first threshold, a second plurality of users within a second radius is detected, wherein the second radius is larger than the first radius and publishing the content item to the second plurality of users.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for switching computing devices between edge servers and peer groups. One example method includes receiving, at a client computing device and from a first computing device, media content. A request to initiate an assisted delivery service is sent from the client computing device to a second computing device. The assisted delivery service is initiated in response to the request. The assisted delivery service comprises identifying, at the second computing device, one or more peer computing devices receiving the media content. At the second computing device, instructions that enable the client computing device to discover at least one of the peer computing devices are generated. The instructions are sent from the second computing device to the client computing device. At the client computing device, a peer computing device is discovered. A request to receive a portion of the media content is sent from the client computing device to a discovered peer computing device. The portion of the media content is received at the client computing device from the peer computing device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating additional content related to a segment of a content item are disclosed. For example, a system receives a manifest of a first content item where the manifest identifies a plurality of segments of the first content item. The manifest comprises additional content associated with a corresponding segment. The system generates for output a first segment of the plurality of segments on a device. The system receives a user selection requesting the presentation of additional content associated with the first segment. In response to receiving the user selection, the system parses the manifest to request data for the additional content associated with the first segment and generates for output the additional content based on the requested data. Subsequent to generating for output the additional content, the system generates for output the next segment on the device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for providing dynamic summaries of missed content of content streaming on multiple device. A plurality of groups for a concurrent presentation of a content is identified, and a selection is received by a user via a second device to join a first group of the plurality of groups for the concurrent presentation of the content. Based on a user via the second device joining a group, a determination is made as to whether a user via the second device missed any content from the concurrent presentation of the content for the first group. Based on the detection of missed content, the system generates for the second device one or more summaries of the missed content segments and the missed reactions to the segments based on preferences associated with the user profile. In response to generating the summaries, the summaries are presented via the second device to the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for relocating an overlay overlapping information in content. The systems and methods may comprise receiving a content item, the content item comprising a video image, and determining a first screen position of an information box (e.g., a score box) in the video image. Determining may be performed with image analysis and/or a machine learning model. The system receives an overlay image (e.g., a channel logo) with a second screen position and determines if the second screen position (e.g., for the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., for the score). In response to determining the second screen position (e.g., of the logo) overlaps the first screen position (e.g., the score), the system modifies the second screen position (e.g., for the logo). Then the system generates for display the overlay image on the video in the modified screen position. The system may not relocate the overlay if the overlay is a high priority.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for generating a playlist for a simultaneous presentation of a plurality of media assets.
