    Abstract: A waste water pump includes an impeller (12) and a surrounding pump housing (4), wherein an impeller side chamber (20) is formed between the impeller (12) and the pump housing (4). The impeller side chamber (20) has a first seal (16) between the impeller (12) and the pump housing (4), towards the intake side (32) of the impeller (12), and a second seal (18) between the impeller (12) and the pump housing (4), towards the pressure side (14) of the impeller (12). The first seal (16) is provided with a conveying device (28, 30) configured to convey debris from the impeller side chamber (20) to the intake side (32) of the impeller (12). The second seal (18) is provided with conveying device (38, 40) configured to convey debris from the side chamber (20) to the pressure side (14) of the impeller (12).

    Abstract: A pump control method for controlling at least one booster pump (4). The method includes switching on the booster pump when a booster pump outlet pressure (24) drops to a lower limit value (26), and switching off the booster pump when the booster pump outlet pressure (24) reaches an upper limit value (28). The lower limit value (26) is reduced in a case, in which the maximal outlet pressure (24a) which can be reached on operation of the booster pump (4) lies below the lower limit value (26). A pressure-boosting device is also provided with which the pump control method can be carried out.

    Abstract: A centrifugal pump assembly includes an electrical drive motor (4, 6), an impeller (14) which is driven by the drive motor and a pump casing (12) surrounds the impeller and including two branches (27, 32, 34). A movable valve element (18) is arranged in the pump casing and is movable between two switching positions, in which the flow paths through the two branches (27, 32, 34) are opened to a different extent. The valve element (18) is configured and arranged in the pump casing (12) such that it separates a suction chamber (24) which is connected to a suction side of the impeller (14) from a delivery chamber (26) which is in connection with the delivery side of the impeller (14). The valve element (18) is mechanically and/or hydraulically coupled to the drive motor (4, 6) for at least a movement between the two switching positions.

An operating element (49), arranged at the pipe section opposite the valve opening, is configured to control the valve body for operating in a check-valve mode to open the valve opening upon a fluid flow from the valve opening towards the valve body and for operating in a shut off-valve to close the valve opening for any fluid flow direction.

    Abstract: A centrifugal pump includes at least one pump stage, with a rotatable impeller (5) with a suction port (6) which is sealed with respect to a stationary pump part (1) by way of a sealing arrangement. The sealing arrangement includes a sealing ring (9) between the impeller (5) and the stationary pump part (1). The sealing arrangement is configured such that at least on delivery operation of the pump, the sealing arrangement has sealing sections which are distanced to the counter sealing surface and sealing sections which bear on the counter sealing surface, in an alternatingly successive manner considered in the peripheral direction of the sealing ring (9).

    Abstract: A cartridge seal is provided for sealing a shaft (4) with respect to a housing (2) and is intended to be a slide ring seal arrangement (12) for a centrifugal pump. The cartridge seal includes a shaft protection sleeve which is rotationally connected to the shaft (4) by a retaining ring, a support (24) for incorporating the cartridge seal into a housing opening of the pump housing (2), a slide ring which is rotationally connected to the shaft protection sleeve and a counter slide ring which is rotationally connected to the support (24), as well as an enclosed space (30) within the sealing arrangement. The space (30) is fluidically connected to a sealing gap formed between the slide ring and the counter slide ring, and is at least partially prefilled with liquid in order to prevent dry running when the pump is operated for the first time.

    Abstract: A computer implemented method and a system abates the presence of sulphide (H2S(g), H2S(aq) or HS-(aq)) in a wastewater flowing in a specific wastewater network from an upstream pumping pit to a downstream pumping pit or manhole. The computer implemented method and a system includes dosing into the wastewater at a position upstream of the downstream pit or manhole a chemical for abatement of sulphide, determining by use of a sensor the concentration of sulphide at a position downstream of the position at which chemical is dosed into the wastewater, such as located in the downstream manhole. The amount of chemical dosed is determined by use of a general agent and a specific agent.
