    Abstract: Aspects relate to transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state configuration in multi-stream communication between a radio access network (RAN) entity and a user equipment (UE). The UE may obtain a respective beam quality metric for each transmit beam of a plurality of transmit beams associated with the RAN entity and transmit a beam report to the RAN entity including a respective beam quality metric for each of the transmit beams. The RAN entity may then group the plurality of transmit beams into a plurality of beam groups based on the beam report and transmit a plurality of TCI state groups, each corresponding to a respective one of the beam groups, to the UE.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication that tone reservation is to be applied, to a subsequent communication, including applying rate matching on a first set of tone reservation (TR) subcarriers and applying puncturing on a second set of the TR subcarriers. The UE may receive the subsequent communication based at least in part on rate matching being applied to the first set of the TR subcarriers and puncturing being applied to the second set of the TR subcarriers.     Abstract: A phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) may be enhanced to carry data encoded with a relative low modulation and coding scheme (MCS). A receive device may receiving a data channel, the data channel including a transport block encoded using a first MCS. The receiving device may receiving a PTRS interleaved with the data channel. The PTRS is encoded with the second MCS that is lower than the first MCS. The receiving device may decode the PTRS to determine PTRS data. The receiving device may track phase noise using the PTRS data as a transmitted sequence of the PTRS. The receiving device may decode the transport block for the data channel based on the first MCS and the tracked phase noise.

A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may receive a set of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) samples including a first subset of DMRS samples associated with a first power level and a second subset of DMRS samples associated with a second power level. The UE may perform a digital post distortion operation based on the first subset of DMRS samples associated with the first power level and the second subset of DMRS samples associated with the second power level.     Abstract: Embodiments include systems and methods for communicating information in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) message. A processor of a wireless device may configure a PUCCH message to include an uplink message in a short data field. The processor may send the PUCCH message including the short data field to convey the uplink message to a communication network. In some embodiments, the processor may receive data from a second wireless device in a downlink channel, and may generate an acknowledgement message responsive to the received data. The processor may configure the short data field to include the acknowledgement message, and may send the PUCCH message including the short data field that includes the acknowledgement message to acknowledge the received data.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a signal identifying a configuration of a plurality of search spaces to monitor for a plurality of downlink control information (DCI) transmissions, wherein the plurality of search spaces is interleaved over a plurality of transmit beams of the base station, and each DCI transmission carries information associated with one or more transmit beams of the plurality of transmit beams. The UE may monitor the plurality of search spaces for the plurality of DCI transmissions associated with the UE, wherein each search space of the plurality of search spaces includes at least a portion of each DCI transmission of the plurality of DCI transmissions. The UE may decode each received DCI transmission in the plurality of DCI transmissions based at least in part on the monitoring.
