Abstract: A computer-implemented method for making a skeleton of a modeled human or animal body take a posture, including obtaining a first and a second skeleton each comprising rotational joints connected by bones, each rotational joint of the second skeleton being associated to a respective joint of the first skeleton, determining a relative configuration of the second skeleton, mapping each joint of the first skeleton to a joint of the second skeleton, making the first skeleton take a posture defined by a rotational state for each joint of the first skeleton, and computing transformation matrices for the joints of the second skeleton such that a change is minimized, said second skeleton further including a prismatic joint on at least one of its bones, and determining rotations of the rotational joints and translation of the prismatic joint or joints of the second skeleton such that change is minimized.

Abstract: A method in a computer aided drafting application for replicating a component mating in a modeled assembly includes examining constraints and geometry surrounding a selected component of the component mating in a first surface of the assembly. A first descriptor with a plurality of numerical characteristics of the constraints and geometry is captured. The first descriptor is set as a first seed descriptor. A potential first target geometry in the region of the first face is examined and a first target descriptor is computed according to the first target geometry. If first seed descriptor matches the first target descriptor, an instance of a first target component is created according to the first target descriptor.

Abstract: An application updates a status of a project with a plurality of tasks, where each task has at least one deliverable. The project status is updated in real-time based on a deliverable status of at least one task deliverable. For each project task with at least one deliverable, a plurality of deliverable lifecycle states to be tracked are defined. Each tracked deliverable lifecycle state is mapped to a percentage completion of a project task. A weightage is assigned to each deliverable according to an importance of the deliverable. A changed lifecycle state is received for a deliverable, and the project task percentage completion status is automatically adjusted according to a product of the changed lifecycle state and the assigned weightage.

Abstract: The disclosure notably relates to a computer-implemented method for forming a dataset configured for learning a neural network. The neural network is configured for inference, from a discrete geometrical representation of a 3D shape, of an editable feature tree representing the 3D shape. The editable feature tree comprises a tree arrangement of geometrical operations applied to leaf geometrical shapes. The method includes obtaining respective data pieces, and inserting a part of the data pieces in the dataset each as a respective training sample. The respective 3D shape of each of one or more first data pieces inserted in the dataset is identical to the respective 3D shape of respective one or more second data pieces not inserted in the dataset. The method forms an improved solution for digitization.

Abstract: A method preserves shapes in a solid model when distributing material during topological optimization. A 3D geometric model of a part having a boundary shape is received. The geometric model is pre-processed to produce a variable-void distance field and to produce a frozen distance field representing the boundary shape. The geometric model is apportioned into a plurality of voxels, and a density value is adjusted for each voxel according to an optimization process. An iso-surface mesh is extracted from the voxel data, and an iso-surface distance field is generated from the extracted iso-surface mesh. A distance field intersection is derived between the iso-surface distance field and the variable-void distance field. A distance field union is performed between the distance field intersection and the frozen distance field, and a result iso-surface mesh is produced from the distance field union.

Abstract: The disclosure notably relates to a computer-implemented method for extracting a feature tree from a mesh. The method includes providing a mesh, computing a geometric and adjacency graph of the provided mesh, wherein each node of the graph represents one region of the mesh and comprises a primitive type and parameters of the region, each connection between two nodes is an intersection between the respective surfaces of the regions represented by the two connected nodes. The method also includes instantiating for each node of the graph, a surface based on the identified primitive type and parameters of the region.

Abstract: A method, performed by a computer system, for designing a multi-physics system including the steps of displaying a block diagram representation of the multi-physics system, including blocks that each correspond to a respective sub-system of the multi-physics system, and, between the blocks, links that correspond to multi-physics connections between the respective sub-systems, and upon a zoom command, sent by a user, displaying a preview of a block diagram representation of at least one respective sub-system, the displaying of the preview being controlled by the detection, by the computer system, of the zoom command. Such a method improves the design of a 3D modeled object.
