Abstract: A method for enabling collaboration between individuals to design, construct and maintain a building. The method comprises providing a network based computer system including at least one server and multiple clients. The multiple clients allow respective individuals to interact with the server. The server includes a machine-readable storage, which is encoded with software for execution by a CPU for allowing individuals at the respective clients to create, execute and manage projects associated with at least one of a design phase, construction phase and maintenance phase of the building. Each project comprises one or more events that are related to time. The method also comprises storing in the machine-readable storage events as they occur during execution of each project to create a building project database spanning at least the design phase and the construction phase and optionally the maintenance phase of the building.

Abstract: Implementations of a method of designing a module semiconductor product may include receiving a selection of a module type, one or more die, a placement of one or more wires, clips, or pins; and generating, using a processor, a module configuration file. The method may include generating a module bonding diagram using a build diagram system module; selecting one or more SPICE models corresponding with the die; and generating a product SPICE model and a three dimensional model for the module semiconductor product. The method may include generating one or more datasheet characteristics of the module semiconductor product with at least the product SPICE model and the product simulation module, generating a product datasheet for the module semiconductor product using the datasheet formation module, and providing access to at least the module bonding diagram, the product SPICE model, the three dimensional model, and the product datasheet to the user.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for parameterization of physical dimensions of discrete circuit components for component definitions that define discrete circuit components. The component definitions may be selected for use in a device design. When a parametrization of a particular version of a discrete circuit component definition is changed, the version level of the device design is also changed and the circuit layout for the device design is physically verified for the new version level.

Abstract: A model-based engineering system (MBSE) tool includes functionality for sharing an MBSE model with multiple outside vendors using multiple versions of the MBSE model. A restricted version of the MBSE model is managed by a model maker (or other user with access rights) inside of an organization includes all of the model's engineering elements. The engineering elements are tagged with metadata that is analyzed to determine which elements are shareable and which are unshareable outside of the organization. An unrestricted version of the MBSE model is then created, either directly from the restricted version or through an intermediary version (referred to as the “stripped version”), to include only shareable engineering elements. This unrestricted version may then be shared with the outside vendors, and changes made by either in the restricted or unrestricted versions may be incorporated in the other versions, providing a truly collaborative MBSE experience.

Abstract: Disclosed is a parametric feature-based 3D CAD system that allows multiple users to simultaneously edit a parametric feature-based 3D CAD model consisting of 3D parts and assemblies of those parts (3D Model). Several CAD users, each using their own computer, phone, or tablet, can edit the same 3D Model at the same time. Editing may be separate and simultaneous—there is no need for users to worry about locking, checking out, or otherwise restricting each other's access to 3D Models. Within each user's editing interface, the model may be presented in different representations, with edits to any representation applied and displayed across all representations.

Abstract: A design analysis engine analyzes a CAD assembly to generate a topological model. The topological model is a graph of nodes coupled together via a set of edges. Each node represents a different CAD model in the CAD assembly and each edge represents a different connection between two such CAD models. The design analysis engine also analyzes the CAD assembly to generate a data model corresponding to the topological model. The data model is a structured dataset that includes component entries and connection entries. A component entry includes design data associated with a CAD model in the CAD assembly and a connection entry includes design data associated with a physical or logical connection between two or more such CAD models. A user interacts with the topological model to navigate the CAD assembly, obtain CAD model data, and initiate automatically-performed design tasks.

Abstract: This application discloses a computing system implementing a design verification tool to perform functional verification on a circuit design describing an electronic device and collect samples of performance data during the functional verification. The computing system can also include a performance visualization tool to generate a profile presentation based on the samples of performance data. The profile presentation, when displayed, can annunciate portions of the circuit design corresponding to at least one performance hotspot. The performance visualization tool can receive a data reduction request based on the performance hotspot annunciated by the profile presentation. The data reduction request can identify a subset of the performance data in the profile presentation. The performance visualization tool can generate a refined profile presentation based, at least in part, on the samples of performance data and the subset of the performance data identified in the data reduction request.

Abstract: Various embodiments set forth systems and techniques for determining expandability of a budding design. The techniques include receiving a building geometry indicating a size of a building and a shape of the building; receiving building placement data indicating a placement of the building within a site; identifying one or more remaining spaces within the site based at least on the size of the building, the shape of the building, and the placement of the building within the site; for each remaining space of the one or more remaining spaces: determining whether the remaining space is a usable space; based on the determining whether the remaining space is a usable space, generating a space expansion value corresponding to the remaining space; and computing, based on space expansion values corresponding to the one or more remaining spaces, one or more aggregate expansion values associated with the building geometry and the building placement.

Abstract: A computer system obtains a computer-aided design (CAD) file of the warehouse, and the CAD file describes a floor plan of the warehouse with a plurality of patterns in a plurality of layers. A storage space and a plurality of guard objects are identified on the floor plan of the warehouse. The computer system further obtains inventory information of a plurality of product packages to be stored in the warehouse. Based on the inventory information, a plurality of storage types is identified, and a storage area is determined for a subset of product packages associated with each storage type. In accordance with the storage area needed for each storage type, the storage space is divided into a plurality of storage regions for the plurality of product packages, and each storage region is uniquely associated with a respective one of the storage types.

Abstract: A method to reinforce a structural frame, the method comprising: receiving a model of a building, wherein the model is comprised of a frame and the frame is comprised of a series of assemblies which are connected and each of the series of assemblies are comprised of a set of members; processing the frame to a predetermined stress model, wherein a set of alterations to the frame are identified; identifying sections of the frame to be altered based on the determined alterations, wherein the alterations are reinforcements to produce a frame which is able to pass the stress model analysis; modifying the sections of the frame; generating a set of casts based on each section of the frame to be reinforced, and manipulating the frame with the set of casts; and producing a set of instructions and visual depictions of the reinforcement of the sections of the frame.
