Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention provide improved systems, methods and computer program products for managing the delivery of items across international borders. Systems and methods for facilitating an international cross-border shipment from an exporting entity to an import entity are provided. The method may include the steps of: receiving, via an import computer system, shipping data comprising a pickup location and a delivery location corresponding to an item to be delivered from an export entity to an import entity; providing an interactive display offering a plurality of label delivery options to an import entity; receiving a selection from the import entity of a select label delivery option; generating a commercial invoice using at least in part the received shipping data; and providing a label and the commercial invoice according to the selected label delivery option.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the invention provided a garment box comprising a bottom panel and a container portion that includes a first side wall, a second side wall, a third side wall, and a fourth side wall. In particular embodiments, the garment box further includes a walled enclosure portion contiguous to the first side wall and comprising a first fold over panel, a second fold over panel, and a third fold over panel. In particular embodiments, the first and third fold over panels include holes located proximate a mid-point of the panels and the second fold over panel includes a slot. The holes are configured to support a rod that is inserted into the walled enclosure portion. The rod is configured to support one or more heads of clothes hangers inserted through the slot and hung on the rod to secure clothes placed in the container portion for shipping.
Abstract:
A computer system for facilitating the return of one or more items from a particular retailer to a particular attended delivery/pickup location is described. In various embodiments, the system is configured for: 1) receiving a request from a particular user to return for an at least partial refund a particular item purchased from the particular retailer; 2) confirming (e.g., automatically) that the particular retailer will accept the particular item for the at least partial refund; and 3) facilitating the return of the particular item in any number of ways including, for example, shipping the particular item back to the particular retailer.
Abstract:
A system for providing individuals with comprehensive shipping and online purchasing information is disclosed. The system receives online purchasing and shipping information associated with purchases, regardless of where an individual made the purchase (e.g., from any website), what items were purchased, and what carrier shipped the purchased items. The purchasing and shipping information is made available to the individual through an account and associated login. This allows individuals to conveniently view all shipping information and a detailed record of all online purchases in one location.
Abstract:
A system and method for activating temporary attended delivery/pickup locations is described. The system receives a desired area for a temporary attended delivery/pickup location (e.g., near a event). The system then receives location information associated with one or more inactive temporary attended delivery/pickup locations. The system, in various embodiments, determines that at least one inactive temporary attended delivery/pickup location is in and/or near the desired area. The system then, in a particular embodiment, notifies a user that the inactive temporary attended delivery/pickup location is in and/or near the desired area. In various embodiments, the system receives a request to activate the temporary attended delivery/pickup location and, at least partially in response to receiving the request, activates the at least one inactive temporary attended delivery/pickup location.
Abstract:
A system for creating and providing custom post-checkout out offers to a user is described. The system collects purchase history data and social network data associated with the user to create custom post-checkout offers for the user, which are provided to the user immediately after the user makes a purchase. The post-checkout offers may also be customized based on the products and/or services that were just purchased by the user.
Abstract:
A system for enabling users to reserve space at attended delivery/pickup locations to at least substantially guarantee that the attended delivery/pickup locations will have capacity to receive parcels requested to be delivered to them. In various embodiments, the system is configured to substantially automatically reserve space in response to receiving a request to delivery one or more parcels to a particular attended delivery/pickup location. In other embodiments, the system is configured to enable users to reserve space at attended delivery/pickup locations.
Abstract:
A system and method for allowing a purchaser of a gift to associate a personal message (e.g., an audio and/or video message) with the gift is described. The personal message may be associated with the gift via a unique identifier associated with a parcel (e.g., a parcel tracking number) in which the gift is shipped to the intended recipient of the gift. Once the gift is received by the gift recipient, the gift recipient may also associate a message with the gift via the unique identifier. The gift recipient's message may be in response to the purchaser's message, an unrelated message to the purchaser, a message to the retailer where the gift was purchased, or a message to a common carrier.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer program products for providing improved augmentation for GPS calculations. In general, various embodiments of the invention involve using a plurality of GPS devices associated with stationary objects associated with a common carrier's delivery network and the common carrier's delivery fleet to calculate error corrections and to communicate these error corrections to a number of GPS enable devices to be used by these devices to augment GPS calculations to correct errors associated with GPS signals. Further, various embodiments of the invention involve collecting GPS data for a plurality of delivery routes traveled by the common carrier's delivery fleet. In particular embodiments, this collected data may be used to provide more accurate address information for locations along these delivery routes and more accurate renderings of various landscapes along these delivery routes.
