Abstract: A method for processing a multimedia content previously digitally encoded into an audio-video stream and transmitted from a distribution platform for the purposes of on-demand transmission to a plurality of receiving terminals includes the following steps: applying a demultiplexing function to the audio-video stream, said function being arranged to generate at least one group of data streams; applying a transformation to each data stream; segmenting each data stream; storing the at least one group of segmented data streams in a memory; carrying out, only in response to a request issued by a receiving terminal among the plurality of receiving terminals, the following steps: selecting, on the basis of the request, at least one data stream of at least one group of stored data streams; and transmitting the at least one selected data stream to the receiving terminal that issued the request.

Abstract: A method of method of processing an image includes: determining estimates of parameters of an auto-regressive, AR, parametric model of noise contained in the image, according to which a current noise pixel is computed as a combination of a linear combination of P previous noise pixels in a causal neighborhood of the current noise pixel weighted by respective AR model linear combination parameters (φ1, . . . , φP) with a generated noise sample corresponding to an additive Gaussian noise of AR model variance parameter (σ), generating a noise template of noise pixels based on the estimated AR model parameters, wherein the noise template is of a predetermined pixel size smaller than the pixel size of the image, determining an estimate (σP) of a variance of the noise template, and based on a comparison of the estimated variance (σP) with a predetermined threshold (Tσ), correcting the AR model variance parameter (σ).

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for processing noise in a digital image having multiple image portions, including: (a) Predefining: criteria of interest for denoising selected details of any image portion of the digital image; a plurality of possible processing procedures to be applied to an image portion in order to denoise the selected details, each processing procedure having an efficiency related to an associated complexity level, the possible processing procedures being ordered by increasing complexity level; (b) For each portion of the image: analyzing the image portion to quantify the presence of one or more of the selected details in the image portion, and calculating an overall interest of the image portion as a function of respective quantifications of the presences of the selected details; comparing the overall interest at the complexity levels, in order to launch the processing procedure having the complexity level corresponding to the calculated overall interest.

Abstract: A method for managing the encoding of a multimedia content stream distributed in dynamic mode to viewing devices according to a set of profiles comprising a plurality of multimedia data distribution profiles usable by the viewing devices for reception of the multimedia content stream is proposed. Usage statistics data for at least one of the multimedia data distribution profiles is obtained, the usage statistics data representing usage, by the viewing devices, of the multimedia data distribution profile for receiving the multimedia content stream. Based on the usage statistics data, the set of profiles are updated by excluding the multimedia data distribution profile from the set of profiles. Based on the updated set of profiles, a configuration of an encoder used for encoding the multimedia content stream distributed to the viewing device is determined. The encoding is updated according to the determined encoder configuration.
