摘要： A socket connector includes a socket body, a plurality of contacts received in the socket body; and a pick-up cap mounted upon the socket body. The socket body includes a base and a first sidewall and a second sidewall respectively located by opposite sides of the base. The first sidewall and the second sidewall are respectively formed with a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The pick-up cap includes a cover section and a first flange and a second flange which respectively extend downwardly from opposite sides of the cover section and which are respectively engaged with the first sidewall and the second sidewall of the socket body. The first flange and the second flange are respectively formed with a first notch and a second notch arranged in asymmetrical manner and engaged with the first protrusion and the second protrusion, respectively.

摘要： An electrical connector for receiving a card includes an insulating housing, terminals and a metal frame attached to the housing. The housing includes a base having a terminal-location portion, a pair of sidewalls extending a first direction and a rear wall adjacent to the terminal-location portion. The terminals are arranged in the terminal-location portion along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The metal frame is attached to the housing and includes a base portion located above the terminal-location portion to define a receiving slot between the terminal-location portion and the base portion for receiving a mating end of the card, the base portion is not beyond the terminal-location portion in the first direction and the receiving. The metal frame further includes a pair of locking portions adapted for pressing against a top face of the card to lock the card in the insulating housing and moving outwards in the second direction to release the card.

The first row of contacts have at least two adjacent grounding contacts electrically connected with each other during the contact portions of the contacts are contacting with the daughter board.

摘要： An electrical connector assembly includes an electrical connector and a pick-up cap assembled to the electrical connector. The electrical connector has an insulative housing defining a substantially rectangular cavity in a middle thereof and a plurality of contacts received in the cavity. The pick-up cap includes a main portion with a planar top surface and a plurality of latching arms extending from two opposite edges of the main portion for engaging with the electrical connector. Each latching arm has an engaging arm extending in a direction for engaging with the electrical connector and a pressing arm extending in an opposite direction. When the pressing arm is pressed inwardly, the engaging arm expands outwardly to release the electrical connector.

The insulative housing has a plurality of electrical contacts (22) received therein. The load plate forms a tongue portion (30) at an edge thereof. The tongue portion defines at least one hole (31, 32) therein. The elastic piece forms a base portion (510) with a pair of inner hook portions (512) and a pair of outer hook portions (513) thereon. The outer hook portions and the inner hook portions go through the at least one hole and respectively and correspondingly engage with the tongue portion of the load plate and the screwing element.
