摘要： An electrical connector includes an insulative housing with a number of through holes extending therethrough, a number of contacts assembled to the insulative housing, and a number of solder balls disposed in the though holes and each is clasped by the tail and insulative housing. Each contact includes a vertical base portion secured to a first side of the through hole, a contact engaging arm extending from a top end of the base portion, and a solder portion extending from a bottom end of the base portion. The solder portion has a wave arrangement below the base portion and projecting from the base portion to a second side of the through hole which opposites to said first side, and a tail extending downwardly from the wave arrangement and capable of moving from the first side to the second side.

摘要： A socket assembly comprises an insulating housing receiving a plurality of contacts, a pick up cap assembled on the insulating housing and a loading plate covering the insulating housing and the pick up cap. The pick up cap is pivotally assembled to one of the sidewalls of the insulative housing at an end thereof and has an operating portion at an opposite end thereof. The loading plate is provided with a latching piece to latch with the operating portion of the pick up cap, so that the loading plate can bring the pick up cap to open.

摘要： An electrical connector for electrically connecting a circuit processing unit (CPU) with a number of soldering balls to a print circuit board (PCB) comprises a first body having a plurality of bottom holes, a second body mounted on the first body and having a plurality of upper holes, a plurality of terminals located between the first body and the second body, and a number of fusible members holed by the terminals. Each terminal includes a planar horizontal base portion, a plurality of upper hands and lower legs respectively bent upwardly and downwardly from the base portion, and a plurality of holding portions extending from the base portion in a horizontal direction. The upper hands received in the upper holes can hold the soldering balls. The lower legs received in the bottom holes can hold the fusible members and be soldered to the PCB through the fusible members.

摘要： An electrical connector used for connecting a circuit processing unit (CPU) with pins with a print circuit board (PCB) includes an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals received in the housing and a plurality of fusible members mechanically fixed into the housing. The housing includes a plurality of passageways and receiving cavities communicating with each other. Each of the terminals received in the corresponding passageway has a soldering portion. Each fusible member mechanically fixed into the corresponding receiving cavity has a through hole for receiving the soldering portion of the terminal. A gap is formed between the soldering portion and the fusible member when the soldering portion received in the through hole.

摘要： A socket for electrically connecting an IC package to a printed circuit board, comprises an insulative housing, a stiffener surrounding the housing and having a front wall defining a hole; and a load plate pivotably mounted to the front wall of the stiffener. The load plate has a pivotal portion with a hook, the hook has a latching finger engaging with the latching hole of the stiffener, a protruding finger and a gap defined between the latching finger and the protruding finger. The protruding finger resists the stiffener when the load plate deflects on a top-to-bottom direction relative to the stiffener. The protruding finger also can engage with the stiffener to guide the load plate to rotate in a correct direction.

The socket has an insulative housing with sidewalls, and the sidewalls have a plurality of protrusions extending upwardly and formed with end surfaces. The pick up cap comprises a plurality of cutouts with inner side surfaces. The inner side surface of the cutout abuts against corresponding end surface of insulative housing to position the pick up cap on the insulative housing. An interference force created between the cutout and the protrusion extends along an extending direction of corresponding sidewall.
