摘要： An electrical connector (100) for connecting an electronic module (8) with a printed circuit board includes an insulative housing (1) defining a receiving space (12), a number of contacts (2) received in the housing and a cover (3) attached to the housing. The housing forms a base (10) and a pair of lateral walls (11) extending from the base. Each lateral wall has an end portion (112) away from and opposite to the base. The cover is assembled to the end portions of the lateral walls of the housing and is capable of moving from an unlocking position to a locking position. The connector also has a pair of metal ears (5) retained in the housing and can be driven to move into the receiving space and abut against the electronic module when the connector is in the locking position.

The sector divided into several sections that each has at least one set of edge to form at least one channel thereon, and the metal reinforced device defines a bridge portion corresponding to the channel of the base. When the rotation of actuation mechanism, the metal reinforced device sustain greater forces exert on the base and the cover, the base and cover are resistant to deformation and maintain the effective displacement of the cover respect to the base.

摘要： A land grid array socket comprises an insulative housing having a plurality of contacts. The insulative housing has a top surface for receiving a land grid array package. A cover member is pivotally mounted on a first end of the insulative housing. The cover member is pivotal between an open position and a closed position where the cover member presses the land grid array package toward the top surface of the insulative housing so that the land grid array package electrically connects to the contacts. A lever is pivotally mounted on a second end of the insulative housing. The lever has a locking portion for locking the cover member in the closed position. A metallic reinforcing plate is positioned on a bottom surface of the housing. The metallic reinforcing plate extends between the first end and the second end of the insulative housing. A pickup cap is attached to the clip, and includes an ejection arrangement interfering with operation of the lever such that when the lever is released from a locked position, the pickup cap can be smoothly ejected by the engagement between the ejection arrangement and the lever.
