Abstract:
A gaming device and method having a pick reduction game. Initially, a plurality of first selections are displayed to the player. A number of picks is displayed to the player where the number of picks is greater than the number of first selections. The player uses the number of picks to pick first selections until the player picks a trigger selection. The number of picks are reduced after each pick by the player. When the player picks the trigger selection, the gaming device displays a plurality of second selections to the player. Each of the second selections is associated with an award. The player picks second selections and receives awards for each picked second selection until there are no picks remaining.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a receptacle (30) for a therapeutic fluid susceptible to deterioration on exposure to a gas such as oxygen or carbon dioxide. The receptacle (30) has walls of sheet material each including at least one layer forming a barrier essentially impermeable to such gas, and a seal sealing the walls together in a region thereof. A transfer tube (40) is sealed in the seal having a proximal end in the receptacle (30), a distal end accessible from outside the receptacle (30), a flow passage (56) extending between said proximal and distal ends, and a closure (54) blocking flow through the flow passage (56) adapted to be pierced by a tubular needle for transfer of therapeutic through the needle. The transfer tube (40) and closure (54) are essentially impermeable to said gas.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an internal combustion engine comprising at least one cylinder and an exhaust manifold in which a catalytic converter, a first exhaust gas probe, and a second exhaust gas probe are disposed. The first exhaust probe is located upstream from the catalytic converter while the second exhaust gas probe is arranged downstream therefrom. A lambda Controller is provided which is configured so as to determine a lambda correction factor in accordance with a first test signal that is assigned to the first exhaust gas probe. A trim controller is provided to which a setpoint value and an actual value of a second test signal allocated to the second exhaust gas probe are fed as a control difference. The trim controller is configured so as to determine a proportionate corrective factor. A control signal unit is embodied so as to determine a control signal for apportioning fuel into the cylinder in accordance with the lambda correction factor and additionally determine the control signal for apportioning fuel into the cylinder according to the proportionate corrective factor in a diagnostic mode of a component associated with the exhaust manifold.
Abstract:
In an apparatus and a method for executing generation and reproduction processing of picture data suitable for picture display devices having differing processable frame rates, low frame rate picture data is generated on the basis of a plurality of temporally continuous pictures having a high frame rate to provide picture data having a plurality of layers. Decimated data may be set as the high frame rate layer data. In this manner, the quantity of data to be transmitted or stored is reduced.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electronic game, including a housing, electronic circuitry positioned within the housing, and a display unit positioned within the housing and electrically coupled to the circuitry. A first sensor is electrically coupled to the circuitry and when activated initiates a first response from the circuitry. A second sensor electrically coupled to the circuitry and when activated prior to activating the first sensor initiates a second response from the circuitry.
Abstract:
DSL methods, e.g. ADSL/SDSL, are increasingly used for quick access to the Internet. A data terminal of the subscriber is connected via a conventional copper twin wire to an access multiplexer by means of a modem. The access multiplexer is placed in an access node of the network provider, which provides the connection for the subscriber. Typically, the digital subscriber lines of a number of subscribers are connected via corresponding interface modules of the access multiplexer. The linking of the access multiplexer to downstream network elements is effected by means of an Ethernet network that is cost-effective with regard to both design and operation.
