摘要： A tailgate of modular construction and employing an extender assembly. The tailgate employs a thick central molded plastic core structure and inner and outer cover sheets secured to inboard and outboard faces of the core structure. The core structure defines laterally spaced vertically extending channels and the extender assembly includes a pair of laterally spaced post assemblies slidably mounted in the respective channels of the core member and connected at their upper end by a bar member which fits in a pocket defined in the upper face of the tailgate with the extender assembly in its lowered position.

摘要： A multi-point latch assembly having a locking unit operably positioned in a closure member such as a door or window. The latch unit has a pair of latches with slots formed therein permitting the latches to simultaneously slide and pivotally engage a stationary pin. A keeper unit is operably positioned in a stationary member such as a door jam in a wall or a window sash. The keeper unit has a pair of pivotally movable hooks for selectively engaging the pair of latches in the latch unit. The latch unit has an actuator unit located internal to the latch unit for causing the hooks and latches to engage one another. The closure member is prevented from moving relative to the stationary member without first disengaging the hooks and latches from one another. The multi-point latch assembly has a stop rod located in the keeper unit. A release button located on the latch unit engages the stop rod when the closure member is closed. The latch unit is incapable of actuating the hooks and latches until the release button contacts the stop rod when the closure member is in a closed position relative to the stationary member.

摘要： A container including a rigid plastic pallet having a platform portion defining a central discharge port, a tubular cardboard sleeve supported at a lower edge thereof on the pallet, and a flexible plastic liner positioned within the sleeve. The liner includes an upper portion of uniform cross-sectional configuration conforming to the cross-sectional configuration of the sleeve and a lower portion of downwardly and inwardly tapering configuration terminating in a bottom liner opening positioned proximate the pallet discharge port. The effective combined height of the upper and lower portions of the liner, with the upper edge of the upper liner portion secured to the upper edge of the sleeve, is greater than the distance from the upper edge of the sleeve to the upper face of the pallet so that the sides of the lower portion may bulge outwardly in response to the loading of contents into the liner to at least partially fill the annular void defined between the sleeve and the lower portion of the liner with the liner fully extended. The pallet port is selectively closed by a trap door pivotedly mounted on the pallet. The plurality of transport media define at least two groups of transport media, where each group of transport media has substantially identical transverse dimensions with respect to one another within one group of transport media, while having substantially different transverse dimensions with respect to another group of transport media. The apparatus includes a plurality of rollers rotatably mounted in fixed locations spaced along a path of travel. At least one motor is provided for driving at least one of the rollers in rotation. At least one transport media is supported on the rollers for movement along the path of travel in response to rotation of the roller by the motor. Each transport media has at least one elongate support member continuously engageable with at least two rollers simultaneously while the transport media moves along the path of travel. A lift workstation can be located along the path of travel for transferring a workpiece carried by one transport media to another transport media.

摘要： A spring-driven permanent magnet generator comprising a bobbin-mounted coil, inner and outer frame members defining diametrically opposite pole pieces and a structure which cages or essentially surrounds the bobbin and coil combination. A rotor comprising the integral combination of disc and shaft portions carries a two-pole permanent magnet and is, in the assembled structure, located such that the shaft portion extends through the frame structure and the caged coil to place a permanent magnet between the pole pieces which are defined by the caging frame structure. A flat wound spring drives the shaft portion relative to the frame structure to induce a short duration voltage in the coil which can be used, by way of example, as an electronic fuse in an explosive device such as a hand grenade.

The shelf supports also provide a stop for the lid of the box to prevent crushing the contents. Both the rectangular box and a removable shelf can be stored flat when not in use.

摘要： A programmable limit switch includes output channels for receiving position data, each position value of the position data representing an incremental advance of a workpiece through a production field, and for producing actuation signals. The channels are connectable to respective output devices responsive to the respective actuation signals and located in the field. Each output channel has an output controller, which is individually programmable to change the state of respective actuation signals in response to reaching selected position values. Preferably, the PLS includes input connectors coupled to a respective channel and connectable to respective input devices located within the production field. Each channel operates its own inputs and outputs according to a variety of programmed functions depending upon system conditions seen by the output controller.

摘要： An apparatus and method to simultaneously measure electric and thermal fields with a single probe. Using an electrooptic semiconductor probe, the Pockels effect is employed to measure electric field magnitude and phase, and the effect of photon absorption due to bandtail states in the semiconductor is used to measure temperature. Techniques to scale relative electric-field measurements to absolute units (volts/meter), stabilize electric-field phase drift, and calibrate electric-field data that is corrupted when the probe is used in regions where temperature gradients exist are provided.
