    Abstract: The present invention provides a process for determining the spacing between a heater and a showerhead. First, at least one variable capacitor is placed between the heater and the showerhead, such that the spacing between the heater and the showerhead is in a predetermined relationship to the capacitance of the variable capacitor. Then, the capacitance of the variable capacitor is measured, and the spacing between the heater and the showerhead is converted from the capacitance. The determination process of the present invention can be conducted at high temperature above 350° C., and the spacing can be determined without opening the deposition chamber. This makes the entire process very convenient and the cost can be saved.

    Abstract: A process for extracting bitumen from oil sand using a combination of heavy solvent and light solvent is provided comprising digesting mined oil sand with a high-flash point heavy solvent (HS) to produce a dense oil sand slurry; mixing the dense slurry with a light solvent (LS) to give a heavy solvent to light solvent (HS/LS) mass ratio of about 70/30 to about 50/50 and subjecting the thinned oil sand slurry to a first stage solid-liquid separation to produce a first liquids stream containing bitumen and a first solids stream.

    Abstract: A shower head assembly includes a first shower head connected to a pipe and a three-way member is connected to the pipe. The three-way member communicates with the pipe, the first shower head and a hose which is connected to a second shower head. A tube is fixedly received in the three-way member and in communication between two paths respectively which are in communication with the first shower head and the hose. A rod is movably inserted in the tube and has two seal members on two ends thereof. A control mechanism is connected to the handle of the second shower head and able to cause the change of water pressure to move the rod such that the user can operate the control mechanism on the handle of the second shower head to control the water flow.
