Abstract:
A radio frequency (RF) applicator may be rotated during positioning within a wellbore in a subterranean formation. The wellbore may have at least one bend therein. The RF applicator may include a series of tubular conductors, and a respective bendable tubular dielectric coupler rotationally interlocking opposing ends of adjacent ones of the series of tubular conductors to define a tubular antenna. The RF applicator may include at least one RF feed conductor extending within the tubular antenna and connected to the series of tubular conductors.
Abstract:
A method and systems for an engine igniter excitation system includes an energy storage device, a first adaptive comparator configured to control the storage of an amount of energy in the energy storage device wherein the amount of energy is determined using at least one of an environmental parameter of the engine and a process parameter of the engine. The system also includes a second adaptive comparator communicatively coupled to the energy storage device wherein the second adaptive comparator is configured to control a rate of energy delivery to the energy storage device using at least one of an environmental parameter of the engine and a process parameter of the engine. The system also includes an igniter configured to generate a spark based on the amount of stored energy and the rate of energy delivery.
Abstract:
With reference to FIG. 1, the present invention provides valve operating system for operating a pair of poppet valves (10, 32) of an internal combustion engine. The system comprises a source of pressurised hydraulic fluid (22), a fluid return (23), a first hydraulic actuator (13) which the first poppet valve (10) and a second hydraulic actuator (13) acts on the second poppet valve (32). A first valve (21) is connected to both the source of pressurised fluid and the fluid return (23). A second valve (20) is connected between the first valve (21) and the first hydraulic actuator (13). A third valve (30) is connected between the first valve (21) and the second hydraulic actuator (31). An electronic controller (40) controls operation of the valves (20, 21, 30) to open and close the pair of poppet valves (10, 32).
Abstract:
The present application discloses curb components that represent various shapes of glass blocks to be used in the construction of a curb for a glass block wall, along with a system and method for laying out the curb components. The curb components can be fitted together to lay out the positioning of glass blocks, such that a user can lay out potential designs for glass block walls prior to constructing the glass block wall. Connection mechanisms are used, which enable a variety of joint sizes, as well as angled joints to be formed.
