Abstract: A method for capturing carbon dioxide has been disclosed in the invention, comprising the steps of: (1) electrolyzing a saturated salt solution so as to obtain sodium hydroxide; (2) adding the sodium hydroxide into a seawater solution, so as to allow magnesium chloride and calcium chloride in the seawater to be converted into magnesium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide; (3) bringing carbon dioxide into a water solution having magnesium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide, so as to convert them into magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate. The method allows for the capture of carbon dioxide in an effective, fast and safe manner, which reduces the amount of atmospheric carbon dioxide, and cuts down carbon dioxide emissions consequently.

Abstract: An apparatus for cultivating oil-rich microalgae includes a tank having a cultivation medium held therein for cultivating the oil-rich microalgae, the tank being provided at predetermined positions with at least one feeding pipe for feeding carbon dioxide and other nutrients to the tank and at least one drain pipe for discharging used cultivation medium from the tank; at least one transparent tubular container partially immersed in the tank for holding a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) therein; and at least one solar power generating unit being electrically connected to the LEDs in the transparent tubular container. With the above arrangements, the oil-rich microalgae cultivation can be achieved with reduced space and equipment cost without bringing air pollution.

Abstract: A light-emitting diode (LED) lamp includes a columnar body having a plurality of heat-radiating fins, an LED supporting end, and a mounting end; a first conducting plate disposed on the LED supporting end; an LED having a first electrode in electric contact with the first conducting plate; a second conducting plate in electric contact with a second electrode of the LED; a cap having a rear coupling end covered around the LED supporting end of the columnar body and a front end defining a central opening to enclose a light-emitting section of the LED therein; a first annular gasket disposed between the rear coupling end of the cap and the LED supporting end of the columnar body; and a second annular gasket disposed between the light-emitting section and the central opening of the cap. Abstract: An LED structure includes a first conductive body, a first insulating body on the first conductive body, a second conductive body on the first insulating body, and an LED. The first conductive body has a conducting portion upward projected from the insulating body and the second conductive body, so that a conducting section at a top of the conducting portion is exposed at the insulating sleeve portion. The LED is mounted on the conducting section of the first conductive body and electrically connected to the second conductive body. With these arrangements, the LED structure may be mounted on a power supply board without the need of distinguishing the polarities of electrodes, and can therefore be easily mounted to and dismounted from the power supply board and be conveniently replaced when necessary.
