Abstract:
A bicycle rear derailleur is provided with a base member, a movable member, a moving mechanism and an angular adjustment arrangement. The base member includes a first support portion and a first axle with the first support portion being pivotally mounted on the first axle. The movable member includes a second support portion, a chain guide and a second axle with the chain guide being pivotally mounted on the second support portion by the second axle. The moving mechanism is coupled between the first and second support portions. The angular adjustment arrangement is operatively coupled to either electrically pivot the first support portion relative to the first axle, or electrically pivot the chain guide relative to the second support portion when the moving mechanism is moved to move the second support portion of the movable member relative to the first support portion of the base member.
Abstract:
A bicycle brake disk caliper apparatus comprises a caliper housing, a piston operatively coupled to the caliper housing so that the piston moves between a brake release position and a brake activating position, a hydraulic inlet for receiving a hydraulic fluid to move the piston, a piston activating space in fluid communication with the hydraulic inlet so that the hydraulic fluid moves the piston from the brake release position to the brake activating position, a cooling member, a cooling inlet in fluid communication with the hydraulic inlet, a heat transfer space in fluid communication with the cooling inlet, and a cooling outlet in fluid communication with the heat transfer space for communicating hydraulic fluid from the heat transfer space so that at least a portion of hydraulic fluid flows only one way from the hydraulic inlet, through the cooling inlet, and through the heat transfer space.
Abstract:
A bicycle wheel securing structure includes a shaft member, a head member, and a lever member. The shaft member has a first end portion, a second end portion and a central portion disposed between the first and second end portions with a center axis extending between the first and second end portions. The head member is disposed on the second end portion of the shaft member. The lever member is operatively mounted to move the shaft member in an axial direction relative to the head member in response to movement of the lever member. The central portion of the shaft member has a radial thickness smaller than the first and second end portions.
Abstract:
A master cylinder assembly for a bicycle disc brake having a housing defining a cylinder, a piston received in the cylinder, a lever pivotably attached to the housing, and an adjustment guide body that is operatively associated with the piston. The piston is moveable within the cylinder between a select starting position and a pressurized position. The lever is operatively associated with the piston to move the piston from the select starting position to the pressurized position as the lever is pivoted between a rest position and a fully-actuated position. The adjustment guide body is pivotable between a first position and a second position for adjusting the select starting position of the piston.
Abstract:
A bicycle hydraulic brake device includes a housing having a master cylinder, a master piston movably mounted in the master cylinder, a brake operating member and an adjustment mechanism. The brake operating member is arranged to move between a rest position and a brake actuating position and to move the master piston in response to movement of the brake operating member to the brake actuating position. The adjustment mechanism is arranged to adjust the rest position and a free stroke of the brake operating member with an initial travel position of the master piston remaining unchanged. The adjustment mechanism includes a first adjustment member that adjusts a length of a free stroke and a second adjustment member that adjusts the rest position of brake operating member without changing the length of the free stroke.
Abstract:
A torque-detecting sleeve member is a cylindrical member that has first and second cylindrical torque-acting parts, a torsion signal generator and a torsion converter. Torque acts on the first and second cylindrical torque-acting parts in at least two points. The torsion signal generator is disposed axially between the first and second cylindrical torque-acting parts to at least partially form an external peripheral surface between the first and second cylindrical torque-acting parts. The torsion converter is operatively disposed between the torsion signal generator and at least one of the first and second cylindrical torque-acting parts for converting torsion transmitted from the at least one of the first and second cylindrical torque-acting parts to the torsion signal generator.
Abstract:
A testing tool for electric bicycle devices includes a tester circuit and a connector. The tester circuit is configured and arranged to test and diagnose operability of at least one electric bicycle device. The connector extends from the tester circuit and is configured and arranged to connect to the electric bicycle device and provide electronic communications between the tester circuit and the electric bicycle device.
Abstract:
A brake lever assembly for actuating a hydraulic disc brake system is shown and described. The brake lever assembly provides two-stage braking by operatively connecting a lever to first and second pistons contained in a master cylinder. The first and second pistons are operatively connected to one another such that they move together until the first piston reaches a threshold distance from a top end of the master cylinder, after which the second piston moves with respect to the first piston.
Abstract:
A bicycle rear derailleur includes a mounting structure with an attachment element, a support element and a locking device. The attachment element is configured and arranged to be attached to a bicycle. The support element is pivotally coupled to the attachment element to move between a first position and a second position angularly spaced from the first position. The locking device is coupled between the attachment element and the support element, and the locking device is configured and arranged to selectively and releasably retain the support element in the second position.
Abstract:
a shift operating device for a bicycle comprises a mounting member structured to be mounted to the bicycle, a cable coupling member coupled to the mounting member for moving a cable in a cable pulling direction and a cable releasing direction, a positioning unit that selectively maintains the cable coupling member in a plurality of operating positions, a first operating member that moves in a first direction and in a second direction different from the first direction, and a transmission unit that transmits movement of the first operating member to the positioning unit such that the cable coupling member moves from an origin operating position toward a destination operating position when the first operating member moves in either of both the first direction and the second direction.
