Abstract:
A multi-layer heating and antenna element for mounting to a mirror plate of a vehicle rear view mirror assembly includes a heating foil layer secured to a surface of the mirror plate for heating the mirror plate, a conducting layer adjacent the heating foil layer for providing a heating current to the heating foil layer, an antenna layer, and at least one insulating layer between the conducting layer and the antenna layer for insulating the antenna layer from the conducting layer. A rear view mirror assembly mountable to a mirror housing includes a mirror carrier plate having a first and a second surface, a mirror plate secured to the mirror carrier plate, a heating foil disposed between the first surface of the mirror carrier plate and the mirror plate for heating the mirror plate, and an antenna secured to an disposed along the second surface of the mirror carrier plate. Related rear view mirror assemblies are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An external rear view mirror for motor vehicles, particularly commercial trucks, includes a support arm and mounting devices for mounting the support arm to the motor vehicle. A housing defining an interior volume is provided with the support arm having a vertical portion extending completely through the housing interior volume. At least one support plate is removably attached directly to the support arm vertical portion. An adjustable mirror assembly is mounted to the support plate front side so as to be variably positionable relative thereto. An antenna mounting bracket is formed integral with and extends from the support plate back side into the housing interior volume. The antenna mounting bracket is configured for receipt of an antenna which extends out of the housing. The entire weight of the antenna and the antenna mounting bracket is supported by the support plate which is in turn attached directly to the support arm.
Abstract:
An external rear-view mirror for trucks has a housing, in which at least one adjustable mirror glass and an electrically or manually actuatable positioning aggregate for pivoting the mirror glass relative to the housing are arranged. Furthermore, a clamping device is provided to secure a support arm. In order to keep the vibrations of the mirror glass as little as possible, a support plate is provided in the housing and is directly secured to the clamping device. The at least one positioning aggregate, on which the mirror glass is in turn arranged, is secured to the support plate on the other side. The housing is only connected with the support plate; it has no supporting function.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle rear view mirror comprising a housing, a mirror glass support supported by a pivot joint disposed in the housing to be pivotable relative to the housing and a mirror glass disposed on the mirror glass support. The mirror glass support defines an installation chamber sized to hold at least one servomotor for the remote-controlled pivotable adjustment of the mirror glass support and thus of the mirror glass relative to the housing.
Abstract:
To remove disturbing wax particles and for increasing the specific volume the short fiber fraction is subjected to a thermal treatment, especially by application of water vapor or steam, in a heater, such as a worm heater throughout a defined residence time and a defined temperature. With relatively low energy expenditure the distrubing wax particles are eliminated in such a manner that no wax spots or speckles can be discerned in the finished product. The specific volume of the short fiber fraction is appreciably increased while obtaining a predetermined strength.
Abstract:
A first linkage component including a ball socket having a concave profiling and a second linkage component including a projection having a convex profiling received in the concave profiling of the ball socket. A sliding plate carried between the ball socket and projection having a convex profiling conforming to the concave profiling of the ball socket and a concave profiling conforming to the convex profiling of the projection. The convex profilings of the projection and sliding plate have a larger radius of curvature than the concave profilings of the sliding plate and the ball socket. A connecting rod connects the first linkage component, the second linkage component, and the sliding plate together. Wherein the larger radius of curvature of the convex profiling of the sliding plate and projection causes the projection and sliding plate to be further received in the ball socket after abrasive wear to prevent play between components.
