Abstract: The application discloses devices, delivery tools, systems, and methods for treating biliary disease. Device comprise, for example, a component configured for deployment between a gallbladder and location within a gastrointestinal tract of a patient which has a proximal end and a distal end with a lumen extending therethrough. A method of deploying the device can be achieved by, for example, creating a duct or fistula between a gallbladder lumen and a portion of a gastrointestinal tract; and providing for drainage from the gallbladder to the gastrointestinal tract.

Abstract: A trailer hitch security system for blocking access to a trailer hitch, includes a breach-resistant enclosure within which is positioned hitch engagement means (such as a hitch ball). A locking rod is configured for extending through orifices formed in the enclosure, for reversibly locking into position, and, when in-place, preventing removal of any engaged trailer hitch. Shrouds surround the orifices to prevent access to the termini of the locking rod to further impede tampering or attempted removal of the locking rod.

Abstract: The tipping chair (10) includes a main strut (12), a pivot seat (34) on the strut (12), a pivot slot (18) defined in the main strut (12) and a pivot strut (24) pivotally secured within the slot (18). Pivoting a prop end (28) of the pivot strut (24) out of the slot (18) of the main strut (12) backward toward a bottom end (14) of the main strut (12) causes a seat end (26) of the pivot strut (24) to raise the pivot seat (34), and the seat end (26) becomes secured to a latch (42) on an a brace surface (40) opposed to a seating surface (38) of the pivot seat (34) to position the chair (10) in a seated configuration. Reversing the process returns the chair (10) to a flat, stored configuration to be optionally stored as wall art.

Abstract: The invention relates to the treatment of water, including for example treatment in connection with hydrocarbon production operations. Silica in water produces undesirable scaling in processing equipment, which causes excess energy usage and maintenance problems. Electrocoagulation (EC) at relatively high water temperature followed by ultra-filtration (UF filtration) may be combined with forward osmosis (FO) to treat water. Water to be treated may be produced water that has been pumped from a subterranean reservoir. The treated water may be employed to generate steam. The treatment units (e.g., EC, forward osmosis, UF filtration, etc) can be configured into one system as an on-site installation or a mobile unit for on-site or off-site water treatment.

Abstract: A method of forming a mold for use with a baseball or softball glove comprising covering a substantial portion of the inner surface of the glove with a thin sheet of flexible material, applying a forming material to the flexible material such that the flexible material generally conforms to the shape of the inner surface of the glove, removing the hardened forming material from the glove, and removing the flexible material from the glove. The hardened forming material can be a mold for the glove, or can be used as a form to manufacture glove molds. Abstract: Patient-specific instruments for preparing bones, such as a proximal femur and an acetabulum in a total hip arthroplasty, to receive respective orthopedic prostheses. The guides include a femoral resection guide and a bone canal preparation guide, each having a surface conforming to at least one of a metaphysis and a femoral neck of a femur. The femoral resection guide includes a cut referencing surface to guide a cutting instrument, and the bone canal preparation guide includes a guide aperture sized to guide a rasping instrument. An acetabular guide includes a surface conforming to an acetabulum and a guide aperture for guiding a surgical instrument such as a reaming instrument. The patient-specific, conforming surfaces of each of the guides may be designed based on patient-specific anatomical data obtained from the use of imaging technology.
