    摘要: A system and method for docking various types of aircraft is disclosed. An aerodynamic lifting structure docking mechanism for docking two or more aircraft is provided comprising an aerodynamic lifting structure. The aerodynamic lifting structure includes a first and second airflow adjustment mechanism. The aerodynamic lifting structure further includes a first hard docking mechanism, and a second hard docking mechanism, and still further includes a soft docking mechanism. The first and second airflow adjustment mechanisms are configured to substantially remove any aerodynamic lifting structure vortices around each of the aerodynamic lifting structure tip areas. The soft docking mechanism is configured to soft dock a first aerodynamic lifting structure with a second aerodynamic lifting structure. The first hard docking mechanism is configured to hard dock with the second hard docking mechanism, thereby temporarily attaching the first aerodynamic lifting structure with the second aerodynamic lifting structure.

    摘要: A medicament dispensing cabinet is comprised of a frame, at least one controller, and a plurality of drawers each movably carried by the frame and each defining a plurality of dispensing cells. A plurality of removable dispensing devices is provided with each one carried by one of the dispensing cells. Each of the dispensing cells further comprises a motor for providing rotary motion to one of the removable dispensing devices in response to the controller, a sensor operating in conjunction with the controller for counting medicament dispensed from one of the removable dispensing devices, a chute for receiving medicament dispensed from one of the removable dispensing devices and a chute gate for controlling access to the chute. The cabinet may additionally comprise a chute gate release responsive to the controller for controlling the chute gate and a chute gate sensor connected to the controller and responsive to the position of the chute gate. The cabinet may be used in conjunction with a number of processes including dispensing, secure-pickup (insuring the person picking up the dispensed medicament is authorized to do so), back-end verification (verifying the identity of the person picking up the dispensed medicament), a process for removing a dispensing device from a drawer, and a process for inserting a dispensing device into a drawer.

    摘要: A system for controlling inbound transition of an aircraft includes a fuselage and first and second freewings pivotably mounted on opposing sides thereof. The system includes an airspeed sensor that outputs an airspeed indication signal. The system includes a controller for increasing aircraft engine thrust to substantially maximum for inbound transition, and for generating pitch and freewing control signals. The system includes actuators for actuating aircraft control surfaces in response to the pitch control signal to rapidly increase pitch of the fuselage to decelerate the aircraft, and for actuating freewing control surfaces in response to the freewing control signal to adjust lift produced by the freewings to oppose climbing of the aircraft due to the increase in engine thrust and the increase in the fuselage pitch. The controller is configured to decrease the engine thrust as the aircraft decelerates until the aircraft is in a hover mode.

    摘要: A syringe interface for attaching syringes to a drive mechanism which includes a drive member to impart motion to a syringe plunger includes a plurality of syringe mount apertures having different dimensions to attach each of a plurality of syringes to the syringe interface. Each of the syringes for attachment to the syringe interface includes at least one mounting flange, and each of the plurality of syringes has a different mounting flange dimension. Each of the plurality of syringe mount apertures is in general alignment with an axis of the drive member. A syringe drive mechanism includes a syringe interface as described above. The syringe drive mechanism can further include a sensing system to sense which size of the plurality of syringes is mounted on the syringe interface. The syringe drive mechanism can also include a processor and a memory which are in operative communication with the drive member. The memory includes a control program stored therein. The processor is in communication with the sensing system so that the control program controls the drive member according to the syringe sensed to be attached to the syringe interface. A powered injector includes a drive member and a drive to deliver power to the drive member. A processor of the powered injector is in communication with the drive and with a memory in which at least one control program is stored. The control program includes instructions for control of the drive. The powered injector further includes a syringe interface as described above for attaching syringes to the powered injector so that the drive member can impart motion to a plunger slidably positioned within each of the syringes. The powered injector further includes a sensing system to detect which of the syringes is attached to the syringe interface. The sensing system is in communication with the processor so that the control program controls the drive in a manner determined by the syringe detected to be attached to the syringe interface.

    摘要: An aircraft including a ducted fan and an engine for driving the ducted fan includes a plurality of vanes movably mounted to the aircraft at a substantially rectangular exhaust end of the aircraft. Each of the plurality of vanes is substantially rectangular or square. The plurality of vanes are configured to alter an exit area of the exhaust end. The aircraft includes a sensor circuit for detecting a RPM of the engine and for outputting a RPM signal. The aircraft includes a control circuit coupled to the sensor circuit and the plurality of vanes. The control circuit is configured to actuate the plurality of vanes to alter the exit area of the exhaust end to vary a pressure load on the ducted fan to control the RPM of the engine in response to the RPM signal.
