摘要: An apparatus for generating electrical energy including a first electrode, a second electrode and one or more nanowires, and a method for manufacturing the apparatus for generating electrical energy. The second electrode may have a concave portion and a convex portion. The first electrode and the nanowire are formed of different materials. The nanowire is formed on the first electrode and is positioned between the first electrode and the second electrode. Because the nanowire is formed on the first electrode, the nanowire may be grown vertically and the uniformity and conductivity of the nanowires may be improved. When a stress is applied to the first electrode or the second electrode, the nanowire is deformed and an electric current is generated from the nanowire due to a piezoelectric effect of the nanowire and a Schottky contact between the nanowire and the electrode which makes contact with the nanowire. Accordingly, when the apparatus for generating electrical energy is bent or pressed in part, electrical energy is generated in response to the applied stress.

摘要: There is provided a multi-mode communication system which is operable according to different operating modes, such as GSM and WCDMA. The multi-mode communication system includes first and second switching units, a delta-sigma modulator, an analog-to-digital converter, sequential convolution units and a selection unit. The delta-sigma modulator samples an analog signal, which is inputted through the first switching unit in one mode, into 1-bit digital signal. In another mode, the analog-to-digital converter samples an analog signal, which is inputted through the first switching unit into an n-bit digital signal. The sequential convolution units multiply filter factors with the output of the delta-sigma modulator, which is inputted through the second switching unit at the first mode, and multiply PN codes by the output of the analog-to-digital converter, which is inputted through the second switching unit at the second mode, to generate WCDMA output waveforms. The selection unit delays the outputs of the sequential convolution units by a predetermined time at the GSM mode to restore GSM output waveforms. Accordingly, the multi-mode communication system is operable according to multimodes, such as GSM mode and WCDMA mode.

摘要: An electrophotographic toner includes toner parent particles containing a binder resin, a colorant and a charge control agent; and an external additive added to the surface of the toner parent particles. The toner further includes positively chargeable silica and polymer beads in addition to large particle diameter silica, small particle diameter silica and titanium oxides. Thus, the toner can maintain its charge quantity and distribution stably even during environmental changes and after long image printing times, thereby preventing the contamination of the non-image part and the filming.

摘要: A preparation method of a toner having a micro diameter includes: blending a monomer and a dispersing agent in distilled water to prepare a monomer dispersion; polymerizing the monomer dispersion by adding a first polymerization initiator to about 1% by volume to about 50% by volume of the monomer, to cause a first polymerization; mixing the remaining monomer dispersion with the polymerized solution; and polymerizing the mixed solution by adding a wax emulsion and a second polymerization initiator, to cause a second polymerization. The present invention may be advantageously used for obtaining spherical, uniformly micro sized toner particles through the emulsion polymerization only, without performing the aggregation or melting process.

摘要: Core-shell latex polymer is produced that includes a crystalline polymer. The core-shell latex polymer includes the crystalline polymer, a base monomer, a dispersing agent, an initiator and distilled water. The crystalline polymer serves as the core of the resulting polymer particle. The core-shell latex polymer including the crystalline polymer having a low melting point is used in a toner. A latex polymer including a releasing agent is easily prepared without using high temperatures or a high speed dispersing device. The crystalline polymer efficiently coagulates with other particles in the toner. In addition, the fixing temperature may be reduced when the toner is used in an image forming device.
