    摘要: The electrophotosensitive material in accordance with the present invention containing a layer which contains polycarbonate as a binding resin and of which glass transition temperature is not lower than 62.degree. C. This layer is excellent in adhesion to the foundation. This layer may be a photosensitive layer containing a m-phenylenediamine compound as a charge transferring material, or a photosensitive layer containing a m-phenylenediamine compound and a perylene compound as a charge generating material. The present invention also provides a photosensitive layer of which the amount of residual tetrahydrofuran is adjusted to a predetermined value or less, thereby to prevent the photosensitive layer from being decreased in sensitivity due to ultraviolet rays or visible ray.

    摘要: A liquid developer includes an insulation liquid containing a fatty acid monoester and toner particles comprised of a resin material. The resin material is characterized in that a weight-average molecular weight Mw of the resin material is in the range of 20,000 to 200,000, and an amount of a component of which molecular weight M is 10,000 or less contained in the resin material is in the range of 5 to 40 wt %. The liquid developer described above is harmless to the environment. Further, the liquid developer also has superior preservability or storage stability and superior fixing characteristics at a low temperature. An image forming apparatus that can suitably use such a liquid developer is also provided.

    摘要: A carriage apparatus of an ink jet recording apparatus, discharges a photocurable ink, while moving with respect to a recording medium in main scan and sub scan directions. The carriage apparatus includes a first recording portion having recording heads for discharging a first ink to the recording medium. A first half curing unit irradiates and half cures the first ink. A second recording portion at a downstream side of a sub scan direction with respect to the first recording portion discharges the second ink to the recording medium and has fewer recording heads than the first recording portion. A second half curing unit irradiates the second ink with light to half cure the second ink. A main curing unit at the downstream side of the sub scan direction of the second recording portion irradiates the recording medium with light, thereby fully curing the half cured first and second inks.
